Drake London’s contract will probably cost Dallas Pickens. He’s gonna get 35-40m per season and there’s no way they’ll pay that with Lamb already making over 30

OC is never a biggest problem for any team. Players still gotta make the plays and do their job in the field. The idea that if they would’ve had a good OC last year and instead of the offense sucking it would’ve been great with the same exact personnel just isn’t how football works.

If the only measure is suck vs. great I couldn't agree more. But, we also understand the NFL is far more nuanced than that. A Patullo/Sirianni offensive brain trust was simply inadequate. It was exasperated by many factors, but undeniable that our "scheme" was incredibly easy for defenses to decipher and defend. The eye test along with results make that a truth rather than an opinion.

I'd say Chip Kelly as HC and OC became the biggest issue. Same with Kotite, Buddy as HC mismanaged the offense. Coaches can be the biggest problem. Wasn't for the Eagles last season, but Patullo/Sirianni did give job losing performances last year. Sirianni survived with the understanding that his offensive system is done.

Indeed. Man, London only has one 1,000 yard season. AJ just made some more money too. Devonte will be asking for a restructure during or after this season as well.

I believe this. I beekieve AJ dropped some balls on purpose. I believed it during ther course of the season. He knocked the Hail Mary out of Smitty's hands. He may have lost a half step or whatever but that has nothing to do with catching very catchable balls. How anybody could want this guy back is beyond me.

Have to agree. Tank was running well and we just stopped running in the third quarter even though the game was close. So Wash blitzed every play. Was bizarre.

Is Patullo a synonym for bizarre?

OMG. SIGNED A NEW DEAL IN THE FIRST YEAR OF HIS EXTENSION.

Pointing Wojack Soyjak with Mouth Open Sticker

No secret that I have been watching pro football for close to seven decades. Surtain is the best cover CB I have ever seen. Adding a bonus for All Pro or pro bowl and basically making it retroactive to the first year of his extension is kind of a no brainer. He’s played under the rookie salary cap so they got him cheap for five years.

Another Patriots questionable leak to save face because some reporters are saying they gave up too much.

Yeah but he has Tua now so he clearly will be just as inconsistent…

How would Vrabel know who's fault it is? F that clown.

Aj is going to ask for an extension next offseason in this range especially if he has a good year. I could totally see it being a drama filled offseason if they don’t want to give him an extension

Vrabel really shouldn’t be discussing dysfunction about anyone right now.

I never liked him. He was part of the Patriots cheating back in the day as well.

A competent OC can scheme around problem areas, ours didn't. In fact he was clowned all year long by the entirety of football media for having an offense that was not only pee wee level but entirely predictable.

Players can't make plays when the play is "all 4 receivers run hitches", or "run saquon barkley into the A gap against a stacked front", or "all go when the season is on the line". Biggest issue by far, coaching. Not even close.

This post was about teams with a worse receiving corps but not a lot of great OLs or QBs on that list either.

I really want that to happen. Adding Greenard to improve pass rush should take us to a new level. But having Greenard and Sweat bookends to get reliable play on both ends would really make this defense sick.

Keeping undersized Nolan Smith more fresh. And Hunt rotating in plenty... Now we have a rotation at a place where the depth has been scarily lacking.

but he alone won't make a bad offense good. In one offseason no less.

You probably were saying something similar to this about the Bears when they hired Ben Johnson.

Would think one of Smith or Hunt is part of the package. Could be just picks, but would think one of them would be part of the ask from Arizona. If just picks a 3rd and 5th or just a 2nd?

Bigly on the bandwagon to trade Smith.

If theyd trade Hunt, Id almost be ready to fire Howie. But then Id remember its Joe Douglas' fault.

So apparently Brandon Graham "liked” that story about he Haason Reddick nonsense. If that’s true then that’s wild

AJ be like, "Jalen….

Hard time seeing the cardinals getting a 2nd rounder. He doesn’t want to be there. Love sweat but his knees are what they are. Add on he’s only got $3 mil guaranteed for 2027. So he’s likely going to want an extension now or a year from now. I kind of think they could get a 3rd. Maybe smith and a 4th as they’d have 2 more years of smith. Not sure GB has an edge they could/want to send to AZ that’s comparable to smith’s potential upside
