I don't think it's a lock they only keep one of Nolan or Hunt. Greenard is 29, I don't think he will be here very long. If Nolan has like 3 sacks this year and gets hurt again that's one thing. But if he has like 10 sacks this year, there's no way they are letting him go. And I think Hunt is a lock to stay regardless of what Nolan does.

Yea, maybe. If they can prove to be highly effective past 30 I wouldn't rule it out. Baun is an interesting one because he'll be 32 when he needs a new contract. Greenard I think has more to prove. He had two great seasons but everything else outside of those has been hit or miss. He has a $22M bonus each year in 2028 and 2029 that's not guaranteed so it's not a lock he's here for the next 3-5 years.

It's nice to hear that we're running a pro style offense instead of the Junior high crap we were trying to run last year.

The only thing I'd be cautious about is that really smart people tend to over engineer. There is a line where engineering more doesn't add value to the end result. Due diligence vs. OCD.

Multiple beat guys have said Stowers has not stood out at all. Looks kinda small and his athleticism hasn't popped. Eagles haven't gone to him a lot either.

Next year we’re paying Q and Coop and JC if he drags out that long. I could absolutely see a scenario where both those two leave in FA

Ertz as a rookie had 36 catches for 469 yards and he was a very good receiving TE. Celek who was more of a well rounded TE but didn't put up as many receiving numbers had 16 catches for 178 yards as a rookie.

With Stowers coming in as a backup to Goedert, and with Mannion's offense apparently going to spread the ball around to different receivers I might expect Stowers numbers to be closer to Celek's rookie year. But if he shows something and gets more involved (or Goedert gets hurt) maybe it's more. I think that kind of draft pick is the type to expect much more in his 2nd season, especially if Goedert leaves after this season. So low expectations for production as he goes through rookie process, learns the offense and learns behind Goedert and if he ends up impressing more than that, wonderful.

Majors is a C/G from University of Texas. Played on the top rated college OL with Williams. Eagles carried him on the PS all last year. He’s got a lot of backup snaps in OTAs. No idea about Kendall but wasn’t watching the few clips for him.

Woolen has gotten most praise from the new guys of all the reporters. They say he looks great.

I wasn't super high on Stowers coming into the draft. Frankly, I think the 2nd round was a bad spot for TEs. You had Sadiq and then I don't think the next TE should've been taken til the 3rd. I would've much rather had EMW in the 2nd and then get Delp in the 3rd. Stowers moves more to me like a slow WR than a fast TE. He can leap and has a good 40 time but he didn't look particularly fluid to me and obviously has no blocking whatsoever(as of yet). That said he was productive and hasn't played the position very long so who knows.

Hunch though tells me he won't amount to much. And honestly, the other non Sadiq TEs probably won't either.

I think people will give him a little time to develop as a blocker, especially if he shows the willingness he talks about having.

But I think a lot of people will forget he was a college QB who is also new to the TE position as a whole. That is why he is so new/bad at blocking. Stands to reason, he will take a while to develop everything it takes to become a good TE. Not just blocking.

But if he has a disappointing rookie year, I dont think that means we got a dud. Maybe its going to take him 2, or even 3 years to break out.

Back in 2018 it was a loaded RB class and they really wanted one but the board just didn’t fall their way. So they weee extra motivated in the 2019 to get a RB maybe too much so and ended up taking Sanders in the 2nd round, which I hated that Fing pick at the time. I remember going into the 2nd wanting AJ Brown and Metcalf with their two 2nds. They took Sanders and JJAW 🤮. But I think they were too eager to take one because they missed the year before. Most people thought this was a really good TE class. So I was surprised when the eagles took one so early who didnt seem like a scheme fit at all. A guy who didnt block after Howie's comments about needing to value blocking more from his TEs.

Stowers is a pretty unique athlete at the position though. And I suspect the eagles think they can develop a monster. It just might not come as soon as we all hope.

I would be surprised if Stowers has more than 30 catches/3 TDs as a rookie. And if he surpasses those numbers, it might not even be a good thing because it would probably mean that Goedert missed significant time with an injury.

I'm absolutely fine with playing the long game with his development.
