June 10Jun 10 I hate this quote. I get what he’s saying but it shouldn’t be a "mission” to end every drive with a punt if it’s 3 and out and the 3rd down play was some ultra conservative cowards draw. Turnovers hurt, sure, but you are really limiting yourself if you don’t open it sometimes.

June 10Jun 10 Here's Spotrac on Garrett's contract, but I think they are making assumptions. The last 4 void years are called "vested" and don't impact cap charges (all end 4 years out, will accelerate to 2031). But it's not right, as it shows total cash of only $179mm vs. reported number of $208.2mm. With $139mm in cap charges and $179mm cash, the dead money in 2031 ~$40mm to be off the team; using the $208.2mm, it would be ~$69mm, but then these cap charges seem wrong.spotrac.comMyles Garrett | NFL Contracts & Salaries | Spotrac.comMyles Garrett signed a 5 year, $208,200,000 contract with the Los Angeles Rams with an average annual salary of $41,640,000.

June 10Jun 10 2 hours ago, Sack that QB said:Since the season ended I've expected the offense to be most likely average at best, so I can't really be disappointed. I just don't think the offense is going to be good. It's not impossible for it to be, but in the NFL you usually don't see offenses that have been unimpressive over a multi year span suddenly be impressive one year without a change at QB or coach.Very pessimistic take. While we don't know what the new offense will be - some positive early reviews from players aside - we do know how the offense has been. And they have changed the coach in case you didn't notice. They're completely changing scheme and philosophy, and a mostly new offensive coaching staff. This is a team that under Siri went to the playoffs every year, went to 2 Super Bowls. Lost the first SB by only 3 points, dominated the other. The offensive rankings in those 5 years (yards/points): 12/14, 3/3, 7/8, 7/8, then down to 24/19. Clearly KP was a huge problem, along with the O line injuries. That's why he's gone and they are handing the keys to Mannion. So taking a team returning a lot of players with a mix of new players has questions marks for sure, new coaches and scheme. We don't know what to expect. But it's not like they haven't had recent enough success to bounce back. It's certainly possible.
