I think QB2 is turning into one of the most interesting battles in camp. It seems like Dalton has the slight edge at the moment. It also seems like Cole Payton has been getting a fair share of reps and outside of one day, has shown more good than bad. We'll see what the PS games show but it looks like it's going to lead to an important decision as McKee and Dalton are likely 1 year, maybe 2 at most and putting Payton on waivers may not be worth the risk.

I really think Howie will be open to trading either Dalton or McKee, and Payton stays at 3.

I agree with that. Just hard to think about what kind of trade offers he can get. Supposedly they wanted a lot for McKee and that was during the time teams would generally be interested in trading for a QB. Now you would have to bank on injuries and desperation and even with that, I'm not sure if that would be enough to get something decent for a guy presumably beat by Dalton. Meanwhile Dalton was traded for next to nothing. I guess the most likely scenario is flipping Dalton for a 5th/6th but then you have to wonder if that's worth it if he's playing better than McKee.

And the Commanders handed us one of them

Sure, we got Cooper, but we lost out on Mike Sainristil and Ben Sinnott

They didn't need Cooper. They drafted Emanual Forbes the year before.

That seems like a really bad idea so I'm all for it

The way I see it is they are comfortable with McKee as the 2, so they're letting dalton and payton battle out for 3.

They could also be holding dalton as trade bait if a QB/backup goes down somewhere

But a lot of substitutions along the OL as Kuper mixes and matches

The newest wrinkle of all the wrinkles... movement before the snap. Learning curve. I'm actually glad to see this.

The fact that they even are doing this is ridiculous to me. NFL just wants to alienate their current fan base to chase other $. Nothing like a team's 'home opener' being on the road... on a different continent... with literally more than half a day of air travel one way. I hated it when the Eagles went to Brazil, I hated when the NFL did it again the following year, and I hate this one too. NFL is making being a fan a much harder job than it used to be.

They want a global football league and this is just the stepping stones to that

McVay doesn't want to be away from his wife that long.

On the PHLY podcast, they talked about Sirianni saying the team planned 10 install days. Yesterday was a review day. It makes sense that the offense looked better. I am guessing today is another install day.

It seems to me that they will try to trade McKee or do an IR stash with Payton.

As for Shipley is terrible, we could keep just 2 RBs at final cuts, after which we could sign a 3rd back after placing a player on recallable IR. Being put on IR before final cuts and you're out for the season. No worries in the unlikely event some team claims Shipley. He can't play at this level

Shipley is the protector on punts. he also returns kicks. I think he would really have to mess up for them to cut him. It's possible Pierce beats him out for the job or the move on after cut down day. I just don't see them only carrying 2 and having to fill special team spots.

I know what they want... and I don't like it. Not even a little bit.

Random things hearing today:

Jake Majors has been one of the worst players in camp. Gets beaten badly every practice. Lampkin has been appreciably better.

Mukuba having a good camp, always around the ball.

Jordan Davis had a good day.

Ojomo had a good day.

Joshua Weru has looked good.

Carrying 2 is just a short term idea at final cuts. They could add a 3rd the day after cuts or promote on game day from the PS for a couple weeks until a roster spot opens up and they add a 3rd. A way to keep a 7th WR or 11th OLman

Man, I'm just hoping they don't keep 4 RBs again. Baby steps.

Outside Smith just a bunch of WR 3/4s duking it out huh

Judging by his MRSA, I doubt he ever said that
