I don't know exactly what blocking system Kuper is teaching here but for a clue I rewatched the Packer game from last year. They ran inside zone, counter-tray, a couple of stretch plays and that's about it. And they didn't run them very well.

As an aside, Steen was horrible in that game. Just horrible.

Dallas was 7th in offense PPG last year and missed the playoffs; well, they were 6th in offensive PPG in 2019 (and 1st in yards), but they missed the playoffs with a defense that was 11th in PPG.

Lampkin has been getting more reps at 2nd team center. In part because of injuries and missing guys, but also Majors has reportedly been terrible.

Stowers today apparently looked rough again. Lost another matchup and couldn't shake another back end of the roster guy, forget who beat guys said what defender was.

Dalton seems to be having a solid camp. There are some beat guys who think they're gonna trade McKee and keep him. Me personally I think it'll depend on what the offers are. If they can't get more than like a 5th for McKee I think they keep McKee. If a team offers a 3rd or possibly even a 4th I think they could trade McKee to keep Dalton.

Pierce having a good camp. Wonder if he can win the RB3 job over Shipley. Both can play special teams.

I say this every year....but aside from tangible, defined injuries that land players on PUP/IR, I refuse to be concerned or excited about anything that transpires in training camp.

They are installing a new offense. It should look bad. And if it doesn't look bad, then they aren't being challenged enough or the new scheme isn't different enough...or it's pure fluff reporting. It's part of the process. We know what the defense is. Rumblings about how they look should not change what we know about them from the last 2 years.

Training camp used to be more exciting and informative back when players actually went at it. Now, it's just a glorified walk through. And I'm not saying that as a complaint. EagleSpa training camp works for them. It's been discussed and debated about being ready early in the season versus being healthy by bubble wrapping, thudding, and walking through training camp. That debate is over. The way they do it is the right way. But that doesn't make it any less boring or completely uninformative to those on the outside looking in through X snippets.

Dallas sucks and will be a dumpster fire again but I’ve always thought Prescott was a good QB. Very rarely can you find a QB who can win without a pretty to great defense. So yeah I agree with your point.

I’d take Prescott over Darnold and probably Hurts, the two most recent Super Bowl winning QBs.

I didn't know they don't kick that much in TC. What do they do for the other time spent?

Meanwhile, 3 put of the 5 years Hurts has made the playoffs have been with a defense outside the top 7 in PPG including 2023 when the defense ranked 30th in that category.

But yeah, go prefer your choke master Dak Prescott.

I'm sorry, but this is just nuts. For all of Jalens flaws, you at least know he's going to be at his best when it counts the most.

Dak is the very opposite. Looks great when it matters the least and is a pure choke artist in big moments.

Speaking of Shipley who has not been all good as a receiver out of back field. Swift has been doing well in Chicago on rushing and receiving. Did the FO make the wrong choice on keeping a RB3?

Interested to see how Lampkin progresses in camp. With a wrestling background, he could be effective to battle and control the DL coming in.

I read the Beats entirely except McLane because that requires a subscription and I avoid Bo Wulf and E J Smith because they suck even worse the BLG. I have not seen anyone saying that Majors has been terrible. He still is getting second team snaps. Lampkin only elevated to C with the twos today because Kendall played with the one’s and Majors was the LG with the twos. Lampkin was also a C with the threes. So can you share a link of someone saying Majors has been terrible. (Note that this week, the D ones are against the O twos.)

Well we have very different tastes because I think BLG, EJ, and Bo are very good when it comes to getting camp reports. Bo may be annoying with his forced humor and shtick but that is separate from he and EJ's takes which I think are good and honest. And I've always liked BLG, he's not afraid to call out negatives. I find me aligning with him on a lot of takes.

But anyway, those 3 have been the ones I've heard mention Majors. Bo and EJ especially have really harped on how bad he's looked. Said he gets destroyed multiple times per practice and the 2nd team offense immediately gets better the second he comes out.
