I get it but if Trotter is making it close id really like to have those picks back for Jihad and just keep Trotter then. The fact that Campbell was dressed yesterday and not put in bubble wrap like the starters is pretty concerning to me.

Trotter playing well is not a bad problem to have. We have to replace Baun in a year or two, so maybe Trot and Campbell can be our future starters.

It means they had a bland list of plays and backups are backups for a reason. The starters will take a few games as well. Anyone who freaks out when that happens doesn't understand that either.

They needed to execute the bland plays.

Do you think Baltimore had exotic plays

I think the CB backups still suck just like they did last year. Also, the backups on offense are backups for a reason like I said. If you want to be pessimistic go for it. Even as bad as the game was there were people on both lines to get excited about. That's what matters not the backup QBs with bland plays or the backup TEs, S, or CBs.

Trott Jr played well. Outside of him and the DL which was fine you hopefully won't see anyone else and if you do you hope the starters can cover their flaws. On offense Cooper will be fine and Bell played well and so did the little guy. Baltimore's backups are better as a whole than the Eagles. Wow....congrats to them. Means nothing for the season for the Birds. Neither does the first few weeks when I expect the offense to struggle. I look forward to all the negativity on here. They will be fine.

Nobody said there weren't bright spots, can't take the bright spots and not be concerned with the horrible. 2 freaking 1st downs, lol.

No, you shouldn't be concerned. The backup QBs didn't play well. Could they play better with the starting OL and skill players? Hopefully, but again, nothing you saw last night is an indicator of how this season will go. What you did see as I mentioned were bright spots on the OL. That's what matters.

I posted it for people to judge for themselves, but I think Baldy was reaching a bit. Then again it was his first game of football playing against people who have played a high level since they were kids. Not bad at all.

Eagles won't subject him or Weru to waivers. One will be IR'd.

That is what matters from last night

I meant myself. There's a lot of potential there but it's very possible he becomes JAG

I would prepare for the worst with the offense and hope for the best. Anyone going into the season expecting a good offense or better is putting their expectations in a place that leads to an unlikely outcome. Factoring everything in, odds are it's not that good of an offense. The question is can it be good enough to win a SB with paired with an elite defense, and that I think will be cutting it pretty close.

For sure. I think Clint has done a good job developing people the last two years.

I think it's going to be bumpy the first few weeks until the players get more comfortable with it and he gets more comfortable with how to use them. The OL is going to be better than last year and that alone is reason for to be optimistic. They are stacked with talent and seem to have a bright OC. I think they figure it out and look good going to Jacksonville or home vs the Panthers.

Bell/Lampkin/Kendall all looking good is huge. Far less of an OL dropoff.

Feel good about our ability to run the ball this year.

This is all so ridiculous. Preseason doesn't matter. Period. There are years of evidence that good play or bad play doesn't mean squat. Every year people ignore that so they can engage which I understand but it literally means nothing. There is no but there. It means nothing

Trot playing well isn’t a bad thing. A first round pick not playing as well as a late round pick is a bad thing. We could use those picks back.

Another thing about the Eagles is they don't work very hard in camp under Sirriani. This is intentional for long term health and as ugly as it can be early in the season and preseason it has proven to be an effective long term strategy.

Effective long term strategy in what way?

Yep. Some disagree, but most of the people we saw last night won't be playing much this year and if they do they will have very talented people around them.
