The Eagles have been healthier down the stretch than most teams in the Sirriani era. A 17 game season is more of a marathon

Bell/Lampkin/Kendall all looking good is huge. Far less of an OL dropoff.

Feel good about our ability to run the ball this year.

And i expect them to start the season run heavy to ease the implementation

Yep. Some disagree, but most of the people we saw last night won't be playing much this year and if they do they will have very talented people around them.

Honestly it doesn't even matter. The best preseason performers and teams have had no correlation to the regular season. Sure you can find a few that match but that's just random chance. Everyone's favorite analyst Emmanuel Acho turned in better performances that Trotter did yesterday in the preseason. Meant nothing.

I was told he sucked and is a bust by the blog. So that guy is probably a moron.

No, you shouldn't be concerned. The backup QBs didn't play well. Could they play better with the starting OL and skill players? Hopefully, but again, nothing you saw last night is an indicator of how this season will go. What you did see as I mentioned were bright spots on the OL. That's what matters.

Nah, the bright spots don't matter either. Nothing matters.

He does look pretty good in those reps. He seems to be keeping his feet better and not bending at the waist as much.

When Baldy said "get low", Bell was waist bending. Just saying. Overall he played well. As did Lampkin.

Do you think Bell is legitimately a possible successor to Lane or that maybe people are getting carried away?

I’m trying not to be too hopeful but it seems like they may have found something.

Why would you even pay attention to anyone using a preseason game vs back ups and "practice" as his examples on why he will replace a HOF player

Like BG he will always be compared to a player at another position the fans wanted. I'll admit I wanted another TE on the board and worry it's another LJ Smith situation but that's not fair to him either. Glad he showed some blocking skills last night.

It’s some rando on Twitter. You can find any opinion you want if you search enough. Meanwhile PFF didn’t like him, not that it means anything either

I like him a lot. He's in a perfect spot, redshirting and being mentored by an all-time great RT and he faces quality edge rushers every day in practice. He obviously has the physical tools. His run blocking needs work because he starts out high and reaches. That's fairly easy to fix. He has powerful hands and long arms. His balance looked pretty good last night. I want to see him against speed rushers and guys with moves before I sign off but he does face guys like that in practice. How did he last into the third round?

He was totally unblocked on that second rep.

They're already scared, won't even go near him!

Don't worry, vanilla offense, he's a #2, blah,blah,blah.

With Bell, no one should be taking either extreme: he hasn't won the replacement job, and he's not a bust. He's a 3rd round pick they are developing and so far shows progress which is encouraging. Excited to see his development. They'll know by the end of the season how confident they are in him.
