You appear to be looking at the Offense as if it will achieve a single level. We saw that with the Kellen Moore Offense two years ago.

The game was a great success. Nobody got hurt. That's all that matters in these games. Encouraged by Lampkin, Bell and Kendall. Would love to see Lampkin go up against Carter, Davis and Ojomo in one-on-one practice situations.

The coming week in New England should be interesting. See if many players on offense look like they belong in the NFL.

I’ve never been a big fan of one-on-one drills. Too big an advantage for the defensive player. Also, it barely touches what the O lineman has to do on a given play. As a really good example, take a look at Lampkin in the game. Sure he blocked the guy in front of him but he also doubled with the guard and best of all, he climbed to the second level and blocked LBs and DBs in the open field. He was, to me, sensational. Since this is turning into a personal love fest I’ll add that he has played center and both guards in practice (center and RG in this game). So, yeah, I’m coming around to your wish to see him against those three tackles just for the hell of it. One at a time, mind you.

Love this guy. No wonder the Rams were pissed.

I like him a lot. He's in a perfect spot, redshirting and being mentored by an all-time great RT and he faces quality edge rushers every day in practice. He obviously has the physical tools. His run blocking needs work because he starts out high and reaches. That's fairly easy to fix. He has powerful hands and long arms. His balance looked pretty good last night. I want to see him against speed rushers and guys with moves before I sign off but he does face guys like that in practice. How did he last into the third round?

Feel the same about Morris in the 6th rd, big guys who can move are rare, easier to teach technique than size and mobility.

Morris had a great block that turned into a hold when after 5 seconds he grabbed when the defender went after Payton running by - rookie mistake but he has power and balance, hope they can get him to the PS.

Hinton and Williams on the other hand don't seem to have taken any steps forward, I'd have thought a year in the weight room would add strength and coaching would improve technique. Maybe just better fits for Stoutland?

Lampkin was a real surprise, despite his size he had no problem holding his own.

I think it will have its ups and downs. I don't necessarily think it will be a steady trajectory upwards, we didn't even truly see that with the Moore offense a couple years ago, it had one of its worst games in the back part of the season vs the Panthers. But I think overall when the season ends, no one is going to feeling all that impressed with the offense. That doesn't mean there won't be positives to take away from it, but on the scale of the NFL I don't expect it to be close to one of the NFL's most productive offenses.

He looked really raw, but got more comfortable after a few snaps. Wasn't getting rag dolled though needs a lot of work using his hands.

His best play was the TD where he beat the man in front of him, got an arm on the RB who then pushed broke the tackle - but in a game with real players, probably good enough to buy time to get help.

Good point was they don't tackle in practice so that might have been his first shot at making a tackle.

I'm more interested in seeing Bernard and Weru play at least a half in the 3rd game, in two weeks we can see how much progress they make.

There was a screen play that Bernard recognized but was a step late reacting, that's the mental lag you'd expect from someone still figuring out the rules, much less recognizing misdirection.

I think the running game will be much better than last year. The passing game is less clear to me.

I don't think Campbell will be "meh" but Trotter is outplaying him. I suspect once the real games start Trot will be given a decent amount of snaps. Baun will be out there for 100% of the snaps but not Campbell.

Campbell is going to be a very, very good player. He has special athletic tools for the position. Just needs more reps.

Good signing for them.

When Baun is gone, the starters will be Campbell and Trotter anyway.
