He's catering to billionaire owners who have no concern with the fans. Really, the fans should rise up and seize the teams so they can be public benefit we are meant to have.

The best move for the league and the sport is if every team relocated internationally for at least a few years but still have 1-2 games in their original US cities. US fans will still watch as much but it will allow the game and league to grow as these international markets then have the teams as their primary home locations.

yup....the one lesson the sports world learned was from the mistake of the NBA. The NBA got way too big for its britches by promoting individual players, instead of teams...and expansion dilutes the talent pool...there are too many players who lack basic skills making it into the league. It has become more an entertainment event than an actual sport.

The NFL is the most successful of all the other leagues/sports because it has always focused on creating demand. That has proven to be a very effective business model...I think it is myopic for the league to start increasing supply...

What? This is business. Continual growth is the game. Every large business operates internationally. Heck, MLB would be bush league without it's international reach. Hockey as well. NBA moving much more in that direction. Frankly, the NFL is behind the 8 ball.

Never felt even last year that Za'Darius Smith "retiring" was legit. It came so out of nowhere and he was playing well. Felt at the time he just wasn't a fan of what Fangio asked him to do. As we know, when defensive players love Fangio they love him, but he's not everyone's cup of tea. I think he just wanted out of the system and to just take the rest of the year off. Jaire Alexander I think is a more legit retirement.

He made a 15 year commitment to play one game a year in London (2015-2030). While I think it does come down to the league schedule makers, it is a lot easier when one team is raising their hand saying "Take my home game, please"

It's complicated. If an owner volunteers, they will get them no problem. After that it's the schedule makers but owners can argue against it.

There's no real figure that I can find on the Jags revenue per game but they have a deal with the NFL where they get the gate revenue for their games in London. There is one sportswriter that suggested the revenue may be as much as $50 million per game for the Jags. Normal gate revenue for teams still gets paid back to the League at on like a 60/40 type split with the team. Maybe Khan could move with the plan of not splitting the gate revenue.

I doubt it. They are renovating their home stadium which will be done in 2028 and Khan is paying $775M plus any cost overages for the project.
