It sucks they tanked a season just to let nick hire his butt buddy but hopefully the post season debrief was "you've now made 2 internal coaching hires who failed miserably, you no longer have free reign on coaching hires".

I don’t think they tanked a would-be perfect season all because of Patullo. He was bad, but he just gets labeled the entire problem.

I just think that most SB winning teams lose coordinators and typically won’t have an extensive external search culminating in an outsider.

He was constantly getting blown up last year coming across the formation from a wing spot as a trap blocker. He is utterly horrendous as a blocker regardless of the circumstance.

Two major factors were involved in last season's failure. First and foremost, the patullo hire. Awful scheme, worse playcalling. Absolute malpractice by howie and lurie letting nick make that hire.

Second was OL health, also a Sirianni/Patullo problem because they could've sat both dickerson and jurgens even after getting solid backup performances in games they missed.

It's a lazy excuse for teams to just say "well we just won a super bow might as well not try to find a quality coordinator. Just hire old what's his name a few offices down, throw him a bone he's a good friend". There were quality options available with experience, they didn't even try.

I would like to see the Wilson experiment over. Guy can't separate and can't catch. The only good thing anybidy says about him is he's big. BFD. I remember two holding penalties on him in 24. Moore deserves to be on the team ahead of Wilson. He has had a couple of good years. Wilson has done nothing.

Actually, Campbell did start out of necessity last year, but he played so well that it didn't make financial sense to extend Dean. He did exactly what he was drafted to do. So did Makuba. I'm not sure what your problem is with Steen. He was our most reliable offensive lineman last season and proved to be a legit NFL starter while playing better than half the other starting guards around the NFL.

I swear ... it's like some Eagles fans think you're going to find instant Hall of Famers in every draft starting with the 20th pick or later and if you don't ... well that's a huge disappointment. "Woe is me!" A couple years ago, most of you gave up on Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis.

Big fantasy impact here. This could mean that Alec Pierce's injury is fairly serious. Even if it isn't this will lower he and Josh Downs fantasy value. Allen averaged 11 PPR PPG last season sharing targets with Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston so he should have a legit role in Steichen's offense.

Also for anyone afraid of drafting Ladd McConkey with the thought of Allen coming back eventually and taking away slot targets like he did last season draft the hell out of Ladd who will be a PPR machine with McDaniels scheming up plays for him.

Don't play injured again, being a detriment to the team. Just give what you can one more season. If injury plagues him, gotta bench him though.

So, I rewatched the game, focussing only on #73. I would agree that his footwork and athleticism are pretty good but he anchors really badly. He squared up on his rusher consistently but got backed into the QB at least half a dozen times, maybe more. He's back on his heels too much and with that body angle he has no punch.

I would add that his rusher only tried a move once, which succeeded. Otherwise it was strictly bull rush and why should he change when he's driving the tackle into the QB?
