Even when it was unfolding in real time against the Pats, I was still a basket case because I knew it would come down to the result of the final play (which it actually did). In fact, I still haven't watched the full game because it starts to remind me of those same feelings, but I'll probably just wait until the 10 yr mark at this point.Anyways, I learned enough from that experience to not indulge the negative emotions so often and instead just enjoy the ride, which I did during the '22 and '24 runs. It made both experiences so much more enjoyable, even though we ended up losing in '22. But I know without a doubt that my mindset was only able to change because we won it in '17. Without that, I'd still be a psycho on game days like I used to be. It definitely wasn't a healthy way to enjoy a hobby.

17 hours ago17 hr Eagles are harder to predict this season than a lot of recent years with a new scheme, how players will fit in it, and a lot of uncertainty about the OL and no AJ Brown. Not feeling great about them this year as it stands right now though that can change quickly if right out of the gate Mannion looks like a genius and it looks like they have adapted this offense to perfection.Right now though I'm feeling 9-8 and missed playoffs and that to me would mean I don't think Sirianni and Hurts are back next year.I think it will be very similar to last year where the defense is great but the offense really struggles. And I don't think they are as talented on offense in general as they've been in the past. But I think the defense will keep them in every game.

It was supposed to be "destiny" because it was the last game at the Vet, Tampa hadn't won below a certain temperature and the Eagles owned them in recent history. Watching fans that barely understood football all of a sudden celebrating a SB win and buying merch for the first time in their lives sucked. Eagles fans deserved a win, not teams with casual fans. Anyway, that string of heartbreak losses made me not get so upset after losses again. I agree about the Pats SB win, I was waiting for how it was going to be taken away from us somehow, or Brady would pull something out in the end. The clock struck 0:00 and I was waiting to make sure it was really over, there wasn't a flag to keep them in it or something. Just surreal. The KC win was great, dominating and relaxed and enjoying it. 2 wins in 8 years has felt great.

Touch was the only sense that worked for me. As a result I spent almost all of my time living inside my head. So ideas and intuitive thinking were my friends. And I became a more is more person who embraced possibilities.

When I look at a rose, I can either appreciate the flower or I can fixate on the thorns...that is my choice.The greatest sports lesson I was taught came from being a high school basketball coach. The reality that the other team does score, that there are momentum shifts, the other team also has good players...etc ...eventually I became very grounded in taking the good with the bad. In football it is also important to take the long view...too many folks get upset at an a mistake such as an incompletion and try to generalize and have a sense of urgency to assess blame...on any given play I can either focus on the positivity or the negativity...again...that is my choice.
