Much more confidence in the defense fixing itself than the offense. Must note that it won’t matter how improved the defense is if the offense can’t sustain drives

September 30Sep 30 Eagles have to have the balls to pull the plug on Jurgens. Eff that ridculous contract! His pass protection is a deal breaker. His run blocking is just okay. What are the internal options? We need to see what we have for the future, ASAP. For starters, I'm not keen on Fred Johnson there because he's never played guard in NFL and has been playing mainly on the right side of the line. Not keen on Lampkin at LG. Again, hasn't really played there much, including back to his college days. So we will have to go the complicated route and move Steen to LG, since he has NFL experience there as well as being a LT in college. We gotta put people in more familiar positions and set them up for success. He has played with Mailata before, so there's some chemistry there. So, now who is at RG? Short term, I'd like to see Lampkin get the first crack there. He has played snaps with Kendall in preseason and successfully, so there's some history there. Lampkin pulling in the running game and getting to the 2nd level is fun to watch. On paper, a good match for OZ scheme. Then ideally, you get Morris in there by the end of the year. Setting up a possible tandem of Morris and Bell anchoring the right side of the line going forward next year. From left to right.Mailata, Steen, Kendall, Lampkin & Johnson is a pretty athletic bunch. On another note, would love to see Lampkin in there this week against his former team. He would be amped!

I think any offensive play-caller is a fan of screens, but choosing the right time to call them is the important part. Hey those may be Mannion's calls, but I stubbornly refuse to think that Mannion is that stupid to running a play using the same pre-snap motion, 3 weeks straight! Sirianni that stupid? Yes........we are talking about the same coach who seems to like using the tush push 3 times in a row just to prove a point - but instead could achieve the same outcome with one play because you have a very good running back. Sorry until proven otherwise, I am pretty convinced our offensive issues run through Sirianni.

Where it hits a certain level, they player goes off for a mandatory medical test to ensure they aren't hiding any symptoms - can see it becoming a thing in the NFL within a few years to show they are protecting players. Agree on Hurts trying to milk it for all its worth - he sold it too well.Because I work in the RFID industry I find this fascinating. There are many ways the NFL is already using RFID, both passive and active tags. Next Gen Stats are produced by having many antennas/receivers in stadiums to triangulate the signal orgination X,Y coordinates, the more antennas that receive the data, the more accurate the triangulation. These are active tags that transmit their ID 10x/second over UWB. More here, this is worth a read BTW:https://operations.nfl.com/game-operations-logistics/technology/performance-tracking-data-next-gen-statsA quick Google search and some AI help gives a much deeper explanation of how the data elements, derivative math and machine learning can assist with so many things in the games. Player safety in this instance. It's a combination of RFID and the number of data collection points that are critical. RFID tags do not have accelerometers onboard, at least not the ones the NFL are using, those would be far too big.Zebra Technologies has worked with the NFL for 10-12 years to get the technology to where it currently is.https://www.zebra.com/us/en/about-zebra/newsroom/press-releases/2025/indianapolis-colts-team-up-with-zebra-technologies-for-real-time-player-performance-insights.htmlI won't add much more because most of you likely aren't that interested but the technology is very interesting and has uses far, far beyond supply chain tracking, like everything else it just comes down to ROI.

September 30Sep 30 Thought these were interesting considering the Oline gets blamed a lot for pretty much everything on offense. I have my opinion, but I'm curious how much more time they should give him before Morris or Majors.

September 30Sep 30 Jurgens needs to step up or they should start the Lampkin experiment. This is a very TE dependent scheme and Ertz is going to need a bigger role.

I have my opinion, but I'm curious how much more time they should give him before Morris or Majors.Playing a new position isn't helping anything. But have to think they pulled him from Center because they no longer view him as the Pro Bowl Center they signed to a long term deal just last year. They see Kendall as their long term center or you just leave Jurgens there and make one switch and put Kendall at guard in interim. They made the more complicated move but with an eye forward. They see Kendall as a starting center not as a swing guard to fill in. I think Jurgens is cooked based on the eye test and the stats. Backs are tough and Howie signing him after the Superbowl for top center money is insane, when you could just wait another year and see his recovery. Almost like signing Embiid 2 years ahead of his expiring contract when he just had another meniscus surgery he's recovering from and entering his 30's. Too predictable.

There isn't any good reason for it to be as bad as it is and as a result there is no reason at all for optimism about it going forward. With the offense any reasonable person was going to epext struggles early on this season. It looked like they were finally able to get it together will run blocking in thr first half of the Bears game before it fell apart in the second half. There is reason to believe and expect the offense to improve over the year.
