But the Eagles brass does love the guy as they should. He is a legendary OL coach and they were prepared to roll with him being able to pick up teaching the new blocking techniques for the new scheme as the OL coach (likely would have been with some experienced in wide-zone under him as the assistant). That's not appealing to Stout - he seems to have pretty entrenched views about gap/power superiority as the best scheme for getting most out of OL. He is a direct disciple of Art DeLeone's who is the godfather of that. There are videos out there of Stout talking about his love for Art, the scheme he designed, how it needs to be taught etc...Now if the Eagles go down the road of a non-pure wide zone guy or even a hybrid dude ala someone form the Reid / Payton / Ben Johnson tree, or even someone who has done a ton of work with the Harbaugh or Vrabel, then yeah I agree - Stout is back 100%. Declan Doyle is the obvious name that comes to mind, or a Charlie Wise Jnr under a defence-first HC as don't think he is ready to step up to HC in NFL. I also used to have Joe Brady on this list but he has his HC gig now. There will be other guys who emerge over the course of the year.I tend to agree that if they move on, it’s definitely think Declan Doyle or Weiss are on their short list. Wouldn’t be shocked if they were their top two choices. The fact that they brought both of them in and they had serious interest in them for OC. Now, Declan Doyle, kind of told them he didn’t want the OC. how true that is don’t know. But then he took the ravens job so I’m guessing some of that is true. But I would be surprised if that’s not the two guys that the Eagles really want.Frankly, I think of the oline isn’t very good this year (so far not great) and this offense fails, they’re gonna want Stoutland back. I get he wants to run game responsibility. I’m not so sure that the Eagles would or wouldny give him that back with sirianni gone. The Eagles have kind of been a franchise that does things that are outside the box. Like before they hired Doug Peterson, they hired Jim Schwartz. So whoever was taking that job was having Jim Schwartz as a defense coordinator. So I wouldn’t be surprised if sirianni got fired that they hire him and whatever coach takes this job has to have him as the online coach with some responsibilities in the run game.I think another thing that could happen, is if Fangio retires, i wouldn’t be surprised if Schwartz is brought back. I don’t think it’s a given. I think odds stoutland returns is actually higher than him. I get it’s an entirely different scheme. But I think the Eagles have seen what happens when they have an inexperienced DC and they like Schwartz.

At first I was like did Lane get hurt because I saw Bell. then i saw him next play and I was like no they must’ve brought in an extra lineman. I know there’s people on here that hate we rely heavily on the tush push. But the Eagles in that situation with Hertz out, should really have a secondary person they can use in case that happens. Like the ravens use Mark Andrews to do it. The Eagles should probably think about practicing that and doing something like that it hurts is ever out. they probably scored a touchdown just doing the push push 3 straight times and you don’t have to have Andy Dalton throw a football
October 1Oct 1 Porter Jr is good, not great. The Cowboys aren’t great, the problem is the Eagles probably aren’t great either and if the Eagles aren’t championship caliber I don’t really care about Dallas. In fact, it would probably be for the best if we don’t squeal into the playoffs as the best team in a bad division.

It would be the same situation. They’ve gotten themselves into with the last two trades. They got William done, but they had to pay even more because they didn’t do it at the time of the trade. Whereas Pickens and Porter would be free agents at the end of the year.
