Pitchers need to go back and study Greg Maddux, you don't have to pitch 100+ to be successful. Know your opponents tendencies/weaknesses extremely well and hit your spots.

But I don't think the primary reason Stout is out is because him and Siri don't get on. Stout quite rightly based on all his success is the master of the gap/power blocking scheme and doesn't care much for the wide-zone. Gap is all he has coached. So bringing him back I think is a philosophical decision to not go for the Shanahan / McVay offensive tree - and that will be the decision the organisation makes first.

Mickey Lolich pitched three (that’s 3) complete game wins in the 1968 WS.
September 30Sep 30 Ok…question for the Hurts haters and humpers alike.Just to try to bring everyone together on some fairly easily agreed upon truths:Hurts came into the league as a pretty atypical qb…less comfortable with pro style passing, shorter, less flickable/easy arm talent. That immediately made him controversial.Hurts has struggled when asked to run a conventional offense with conventional passing volume. Notably with INTs and missed reads beyond the primary target (long before the new 2026 offense).Hurts is a bright light, big moment battle tested winner who is clutch…at a position where massive talents can fail because they come up short in this department. QBs who haven proven themselves in the above regard are rare and seldom maligned or discarded. In recent seasons, Hurts has only reached those big moments to shine because he was featured in a very conservative pre-digested role that neatly fit into a historic running game.Hurts did not have a good year in 2025 without that historic running game. But any notion that Tanner McKee would magically unlock and upgrade the offense was very poorly founded. There’s no easy immediate better option. If we stay within those guard rails….2027 is Hurts last year under contract. Not giving him an extension in the offseason is a massive vote of no confidence. Are you extending him? Every franchise qb that extends, when it’s their turn, essentially resets the market. Do you do that with Hurts? If this is an up and down season where the offense drifts between bad and good and in between without definitely "arriving,” is that enough for you to make a commitment? What do you need to see?
September 30Sep 30 Feels like this is the week Fangio could be yanking people mid-game if there are mistakes. That's an improvement. Again, would like to see them to treat this like a playoff game with all hands on deck.

What do you need to see?At the moment how to read hot and quick game - in the past Jalen would run away from the blitz or trust the OL to block it up; those days might be coming to an end. I expect defenses will continue to attack this season until Hurts/Mannion find a solution.

September 30Sep 30 That was such a horrible loss on so many levels. I had to step away for a couple days. That was embarrassing.Mannion is obviously a first time play caller. I don't care if he called plays for a pre-school. This is the NFL, he's in the deep end of the pool, and he'll either learn to swim or he'll drown. It's like Fangio said, knowing the plays doesn't mean you can call a game. I'm not above letting him learn on the job but he definitely needs to tighten up.The team just played like crap. They looked undisciplined and they looked like they took this game for granted. They deserved to lose and they did. To a backup quarterback, in front of god and everybody, in prime time. F****** embarrassing.Hey, at least, Greenard looked good. And because it was MNF, Annie Agar didn't get to call us out as the laughing stock of the league. I was surprised she didn't make an extra video. She would have had plenty of content. Finally, drop this whole they didn't score in the first quarter junk. They scored like one or two plays into the second quarter against Washington and threw at int in the red zone in week 2. Not saying this offense is a world beater but it's not 4 verts and overwhelming hitch routes. F****** media making something out of nothing.I think I need to step away for a few more days. Too much roid rage.
