The Eagles issue wasn’t game management decisions. It was fundamentals and not being able to execute their plays. On 3rd and 4th down from the 2 yard line they couldn’t even execute a running play properly and then the next play weren’t prepared for the defense, Sirianni tried to call timeout and they ran a bad play. This is what goes back to the head coach. They haven’t been buttoned up on those things for a while now. Every week it’s penalties, blown assignments, not executing blocks, etc. The culture sucks now. They’re a mistake prone team that talks every week about how they need to improve the small stuff and never do. The coach is clearly out of answers.

They should be expected to hold nfl teams to less than 20pts every week, right?

Apparently, and the offense struggling to put up 20 is more than enough

Hurts went 2/9 for 10 yards in the second half.

This is just unacceptable. If Hurts was young and only a couple years in, I'd give him leeway with coaching. But a veteran should be able to execute and think on his feet. Pick up a blitz. Hit open receivers, let receivers make plays. Get rid of the ball quickly. That's what a true starting veteran QB should be able to do to win games. Yet every year it's the same thing and all the blame goes to play calling when in reality so much of it is execution and having at least decent football iq. Bradford threw 2 picks and looked terrible, but when the game was on the line he was quick thinking. He took care of the game. Hit his receivers and tore up our D.

10 point lead with 8 minutes left. Facts say otherwise.

No it's a fact and one you have to deal with it even if you act like a 40 year old little girl throwing a tantrum. Just like you have to deal with the fact I'm not stopping. It's been going on since the SB year and I'm posting plays when they happen on my TV.

Execution was almost as bad today as it was with that lady in Tennessee.

It's nice to see him take accountability even if some of his "fans" don't.

It sure does. Math uber alles. The right call was to kick the FG, take the points and keep the pressure on the Rams. The right call was also to punt the ball on their 4th down attempts in their own end of the field... including the final drive before they lost the lead. The offense was out of horses. They had no RB left other than Will Shipley. That's not when you get your dander up and decide that this offense is good enough to convert a 4th down and medium... especially after getting nearly nothing on 3rd down. Punt, and hope the defense can make up for the anemic offense... again.

You're correct. The analytics will never understand the game on the field and that's why we still have highly paid human coaches.

They weren't playing an average of 1000 simulated games, they were playing on a rainy day with a ton of injuries against a desperate opponent, after getting their asses handed to them the previous week. They needed to take the points and manage risk rather than trying for a kill shot.

Meathead Sirianni will never understand how to manage a game, all he knows is emotion

Anyone else notice a step back from undercenter plays this game from the previous 3?

Seamed like they were in shotgun all game

Mannion talked about trying to find things Hurts was comfortable with in training camp when the offense was struggling every day.

I said it was a bad sign that Mannion is already changing his offense for Hurts.

Of course, we are back to no under center stuff, and no answers for the blitz. Its Hurts. Its always been Hurts. He couldnt run Moore's offense either. We had to get rid of the motions from that offense, and revert to hitches and a dominant run game. Hurts cant friggin QB.

And I am really tired of all the condensed sets...why does it feel that every first down is a condensed set run between the tackles for 1-2 yards...the second down play is also predictable. I am also seeing too many plays where the play is designed for a short roll or mini bootleg with a TE or WR opening up for a short pass to the flat for a 5 yard gain or so. . The defense is reading it and grabbing that receiver and taking him out of the play...forcing Hurts to look for a secondary receiver. I still feel the offense needs to be looking at using the pass to set up the run...they have to switch it up.

numbers. lol. I talked about numbers after he throw that horrible pass to Cooper for the TD. That miracle play by Cooper boosted Hurts QB rating over 100 when it was in the 60s prior to that. You Hurts fans need to learn to watch the game and not just focus on numbers. You also tend of focus on just some numbers. Not the ones that are nowhere near HOF numbers.

He ranks 130+ in career passing yards and career passing TD’s. Serious HOF resume.

I am more frustrated with one of the earlier drives with 3rd and 2 inside the 10 when the Eagles chose to run off tackle and lost 3 yards. It was the first play off tackle all day and it was too slow to develop. That should have been up the gut knowing to go in 4th. That showed me a complete lack of confidence with the interior line. Just embarrassing....

I don’t want to watch that game again, but the most frustrating part of that play was from what i saw was there was absolutely no where else for the RB to go but outside with the play design. There was no rub the line and look for a crease, it was a straight sprint all momentum left and turn the corner. Just dumb.

Analytics doesn’t care about your feelings. The Eagles getting 3 points wouldn’t have been some massive wind in their sails. It would have led to a one point loss. Whoopty doo. One play to win the game. You have to take that chance.

And yet they lost because the momentum was given back. Something analytics can't feel. I guess you're not mad at Siri then for going for it, so then you should be happy they followed your trash analytics.

That's what the McVay guys do, so that's what we have to do. Nevermind we don't have the personnel at all. Let's just do it anyway over and over and over.

This entire fan base should be furious about the overall state of this team since 2024.

This was the best roster in the NFL by quite a bit. I understand that financial decisions have to be made, but this team is a mess…especially up front.

The coach is a moron, who is the reason why we have to start over every year with a new system. The QB just isn’t good enough to bail the team out every week.

It’s all completely disgusting that they couldn’t keep the SB window open. And that is all that matters. So since it’s grossly obvious that they aren’t competing for a championship anymore, I will be perfectly fine if it bottoms out completely and results in a HC change.

And yes, Howie deserves to be skewered for the last 2 off seasons. But, first thing first…get Sirriani the F off of this team.

There was one play in the game where Jurgens was beat. And the camera showed Siri looking... and then turning and blowing off some steam almost Spurrier style. Its totally wishful thinking, but if I could read his mind right then, he was extremely regretfully thinking " I really might need to bench Jurgens". I think its a deeply personal thing for such a players coach to have to do with a guy who has given up his body for the team, and won a super bowl for Nick. But to me, it looked like he was thinking about it right then.

Fran on the post game talking about how it's the same story every week and the passing game is still as vanilla as it gets with no man beaters and the final drive was basically just a bunch of deep curls running right into man coverage.

Doesn't matter who the OC is, this is clearly all they're going to run most of the time as long as Sirianni and Hurts are here and all a new OC is going to change is a new wrinkle once or twice a game.

I’m gonna bash sirianni for a lot of things and the offense. frankly, the defense for not being able to come up big in the biggest moments of the game. I have less of an issue with going for the touchdown. The Eagles are a The Eagles are an analytic organization. So they’re gonna listen to the analytics and do it almost 95% of the time. Or they want sirianni doing it.

Going up 17 with 8 minutes left means the Rams have to get 3 possessions to win that game. That was going to be really hard. Furthermore the defense lost Q, lost Greenard, Cooper deJean is dealing with some sort of stinger and they’re probably gassed from the ineptitude of the offense most of the 2nd half. At some point Stafford and the rams offense was going to take advantage of that. 13 point lead is still just 2 possessions. So with all those factors i get why they made that decision. I don’t love it, but I get it. The bigger issue is horrific play calling inside the red zone.

BS. They didn’t lose because of some fictional momentum shift. Total nonsense.
