October 6Oct 6 This whole thing just sucks. Can't fault him for his reasons, just wish it ended differently.

October 6Oct 6 I think something happened with his parents. Good for him on making family first. You only get oneThanks for everything Lane

October 6Oct 6 One positive, he's going out as an Eagle and only an Eagle. When he goes into the Hall, we don't have to share!
October 6Oct 6 Liked a lot from what I saw from Bell on Sunday. All things considered, I think this is for the best. Get a 14 game preview of Bell to be able to go into the offseason to know if we need to draft a RT high or not. Or trade for one.Honestly, a terrible season this year is going to be worth the sacrifice. On so many levels. I said before that a few more bad weeks would put me there, but I think I'm there now. I'd rather win 3 games than win 9 games and either just miss the playoffs or go one and done. This franchise needs a major reset. It needs a new QB, a new coaching staff, and good draft picks to address all the issues this roster now has.I think in January we will look back at losing that Rams game as a blessing because of draft positioning and not a curse.

Clearly there is something going on with his family. This guy has been a warrior his whole career. This wasn't a spur of the moment decision just because.2 minutes ago, greend said:Not "just announced "Yeah sorry, some of us work. 🤣

When you make a commitment you honor it. You do not quit on your teammates, team, or fans who paid your salary for all those years. If his parents were in such bad shape then make that choice during the preseason. You don't get your Michael Phelps on. He will always be the best RT to ever play, but that does tarnish his legacy. He abandoned everyone and I don't want to hear about putting family first. He took that into consideration when he decided to come back and this summer during camp. He could have walked. That is a dick move.

Warrior or not getting your Michael Phelps on is selfish in the middle of a season.

I don’t blame him for leaving and doing what’s best for his family. It sucks for us on the field, but he gave everything for 14 years to this organization. And I thank them for that. That said We’re at least gonna get to know if Bell is capable of playing right tackle going forward. So you will have more data about whether we have our right tackle of the future by the end of the year.
