Greenard sure was the lynchpin of that Minnesota defense.

Two 3rd round picks and 50M guaranteed to Greenard might have been the most damaging move Howie made or didn’t make this offseason.

He’s just had some bad luck with injuries so far. Granted he was injury prone before the trade but he was getting consistent pressure on Stafford Sunday until the injury

I'm getting the impression that Hurts cannot play in the full Shanahan offense and that's why it's mixed. We also don't seem to have the correct personnel to actually do it

That's the impression you have to get, because it's 4 OC's in a row who have ditched concepts from how they were sold on appointment, I just don't buy that Sirianni is interfering and making OC's go back to the same stale old ish because he knows at this point that if the offense stutters and it leads to a losing season, Lurie gets trigger happy with Coaches who have losing seasons.

The O Line isn't helping, but neither is Hurts holding on to the ball longer than any other QB in the league, he can't run a quick release offense because he can't see underneath routes and when he does he throws it behind and kills YAC, if nothing else this season has finally confirmed why we never ran slants.

Nobody's debating whether Stoutland is a good coach for Christs sake, just whether he's the great god of coaches he's been blown up into by sections of this fan base. I'm sorry if I find the idea that guys like Kelce, Lane and Dickerson would've been journeyman stumblebums without the all powerful Stout to be a little hard to swallow.

I am not a PHI fan, nor hater, Stoutland is easily one of the best to ever do it. Easily top 10, and prob top 5 OLine coaches in the history of the NFL. Up there with Callahan, Bugel, Mudd, Munchak, prob a couple of others I am missing. Each one of those guys brought something different to the table whether it be scheme or development. Stoutland is recognized by many fans and sportswriters outside of the PHI fanbase as being one of, if not the best at player development.

That's clip is a strawman. People aren't pissed because the Eagles are losing per se. People are pissed because the offense is possibly the worst in the NFL, has been among the worst for over a year now, and they can't even throw for 100 yards or pick up a 3rd down. Last season they went entire halves without completing a pass.

If the Eagles were losing but the offense was looking functional, Hurts would be getting no flak. This is like 3rd string QB on a bottom 3 roster inept looking.

And no one is blaming Hurts alone for this anyway. People are calling out everyone. It's concern trolling.

The weird thing though is they even abandoned it week 1. Multiple beat guys said the offense is week 1 looked totally different to what they ran all camp.

I wouldn't say that it's completely abandoned. You can still see the new stuff like the motion every game. We're not doing 4 verts every game

Yet.

You know more than people who actually played, huh? They are correct. Allen never won anything. Burrow hasn't. Neither has Dak, but people expect Hurts to be able to carry everything himself? Nah.

But doesn't our motion look like an afterthought though? Like last year where we move one guy every other snap and it always seems to be the same guy, like we're doing it because the guys in the media talked about us not doing it so we feel like we have to.

It also strikes me as a lot of the times Hurts is having to remind guys they're supposed to be in motion which doesn't speak well of prep.

I don't have a problem with the Greenard trade (yet). When he's been in, he's looked good. I get you can criticize a player's durability for being injured, but I'm willing to have a little more patience with him. Especially considering he had zero camp.

Huh? I'm going by the clip and the text. Every QB gets asked to carry the team when there are injuries

I didn't say it was good use of motion. Just that they added it lol

The motion and screens to Lemon are so obvious and horrible lol

I have no issue with the call….then.

Now we’ve learned. Time to not trust the offense. This is not a "go for it on 4th down offense.” Next time, take the points or punt.

But he won't

This week I believe this revamped OL with yound blood is going to be more physical and athletic. They have lost that element since 2024. Running game will look better and so will Hurts. And everything will follow suit. There will be frustrating penalties and young mistakes, but they were happening anyway. LOL. I think we notice an improvement immediately in that phase. Baby steps. And of course, Hurts, like any QB will benefit. If the defense can hold up for an entire game, we have a shot.

There is a conflating of stories here. Cant do what?

Hurts has won a super bowl on the back of an elite team. The others have not won a super bowl. That is true.

Hurts however, has never even had to try to look good with a poor roster. He has never had one. Those other guys absolutely CAN play extremely well, when not everything is perfect around them. Hurts is nowhere near their level. And Hurts is NOT being asked to do anything that those guys have not already done.

Well, Mannion was already talking about having to dumb it down during training camp so thats no surprise.

Lane has two sons that are 10 and 13 (and a 7 year old daughter) that live with his ex-wife in OK. Imagine being away from your kids for six to seven months a year and seeing that slip away as they age. Probably only getting to see them on bye week and via FaceTime. I imagine that wears against you mentally. Don’t blame him at all for hanging it up. Good chance the thirteen year old is playing ball and that season is slipping away.

What a find in Darius Cooper.

Those guys have all carried flawed teams before. Hurts has never had a flawed team till this year and a lot of it is his fault because he is one of the biggest flaws there is. And has been the teams only flaw even in super bowl years.

Bills always have a top 5 offensive line. Chiefs offensive lines have been above average except for last year and Mahomes stunk. Hurts has had a bad offensive line for a year and half now. Hard to play QB in the NFL when you have no confidence in your offensive line. His internal clock is all screwed up right now. Happens to every QB. They get happy feet. To compound this, in the running game they get no movement. So he's sitting 3rd and long all game. Did you see how Tanner Brady looked behind a bad OL last year?

On top of that I believe he mentioned something about his parents. He made the right choice
