Bunch of crock in here. How many Superbowls did Hurts cost this franchise in his tenure? Easy answer. None. Bradberry and the defense failed him in his 1st Superbowl where a QB couldn't have played any better and he outshined a goat. No other teams he was on were good enough regardless of QB. It's all a moot point. Move on...

Hurts was by far the best player on the field that day. What are we even talking about? I get that he's not playing well right now but this revisionist nonsense is exactly why guys like JR have had enough.

It’s revisionist nothing…here’s what I responded/‘clowned on’ (as you say) to. With a very very very simple statement.

Hurts was the best player on the field, that simply does not negate the fact that despite not having a good game the D held the Chiefs O to less points than the Eagles put on the board. They lost by 3, he handed them 7. Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t fumble…but the point remains. That fumble is just as much of the reason they lost as the D, if not more. You can’t shift blame when that was a major turning point of the game. We got our revenge a couple years later….water under the bridge, but out of touch hyperbolic statements like those are just as much of a reason.

It's really a lot more about getting someone who actually throws the ball on time. I've said this, but his lack of throwing the ball on time, consistently, is really why I'm not the biggest Jalen fan. I always said things like "But when you don't have a vanguard OL, being that slow to throw the ball doesn't work", which was usually countered by "But he's Super Bowl MVP!" because....well...

Being called a proven winner is usually used to distract away from his actual gameplay, which is a big part of what we're seeing. If throwing the ball on time is a requirement...he's not great at it.

Fun fact, throwing the ball on time is also a requirement of Reich/Sirianni tree offenses to stay effective under tape scrutiny. That's really all I want: Jalen throwing on time, or finding someone who can. Because not having someone who can do that will hold us back in the future, unless we can have a top 5 line every year again.

I've said the same in the past. If the RG who went to Pitt didn't false start they wouldn't have been in that spot though. If the NFL didn't soak the field our rush gets there all day including probably a strip sack on the first play. If they called holding on their OL along with JB on that BS call they probably win. If Watkins makes that catch they win as well.

Hurts screwed up and those points cost them, but at the same time he couldn't have done more to make up for it.

That just wasn't their day. So many things went wrong including Covey doing something that I can't remember this late at night.

Two years later karma made up for all the ways we got screwed.

I’m going to step away from the Blog for a while. You guys are way too miserable and depressing. See you later.

Come back after a few games and let us know what you see in the young OL.

I took my then 17 year old daughter to the game in London last time. Getting a W was huge but the game itself wasn't the highlight but rather all the Eagles fans all around London for a couple of days. We likely get crushed but those fans that went over are certainly enjoying everything. There will be about 30k Eagles fans in the stadium and we will absolutely outnumber the Jags fans by quite a bit.

Does any other team take as many fans to away games or internationals? Sure looks like it’s gonna be a lot of birds fans there

Oh FFS. The defense that gave up 6.4 yards per play was less at fault than the best player on the field who wins MVP by a mile if they can get one stop when needed? That's the hill you're gonna die on right now? Are you drunk or something? Hurts was literally our entire offense that game. It's not hyperbole at all to say he single-handedly kept us in it. By this dumb logic Tom Brady was more at fault for losing LII than his defense too. This is one of your all-time bad takes, dude. Yikes.

There were 2 - two - plays where Chiefs WRs were wide open in the red zone and scored an easy TD. That horrible defense gave the Chiefs 14 points.

These arguments are stupid.

It's the dumbest one in a long time, which is saying something.

When I guaranteed the 2026 Eagles would start more dire OL combinations than any year in recent memory, I was thinking more a mix of Fred Johnson at RT and Drew Kendall filling in at LG and C. I had not envisioned Lampkin, Jake Majors, and Bell as 3/5 of one of the combinations.

Luckily they ended up with more talent than you realized.

If the NFL Network does a top 10 all-time Super Bowl gaffes list, that play will be on it.

If they did a top 10 all time superbowl performance list. That performance from Hurts would be on it.

I think there are a few other teams that have a similar following but for sure if we aren't tops we are right up there.

Man, Chad Warrior King QB wouldn't have fumbled that ball in that first SB, I know that. He would have not only ran for a touchdown on that play. He would have also volunteered to play defense to cover all the misdirection plays that pantsed Gannon over and over again.

Get rid of Hurts. We need a real Chad QB. Someone who throws it incredibly quickly, even before the play begins. Someone who laughs in the face of a 23% unblocked pass rush rate, because they'll diagnose every single pass rush before the snap and make sure it is blocked.

Hurts just doesn't do these basic QB things. He doesn't fill up the stat sheet enough and he definitely isn't going to pan out in this league.

We need a Chad Warrior King quarterback like this

image.pngSee that outfit?? You see that hair that is just messy all naturally like that and definitely not done by a hairstylist??

These guys are winners. These guys have what it takes to succeed in Philly where Hurts has obviously failed and led us through this dire period in franchise history.

What am I gonna do with this Andy Dalton jersey now?!

I’d say throw it in the trash but it’s likely to be intercepted.

For someone that allegedly is tired of the talk about Hurts that was some post.

If Howie isn't good enough to find us a real QB, just tank for picks every season.

This is the minimum requirement for Howie:

He should look exactly like this:

Who said I'm tired? I love this. We need to dig in and determine who's really responsible for a SB from 5 years ago. We can't go having poor QB play like that again. Losing a SB??? Unacceptable

The reason there's a Hurts debate at all is because of posts like yours lol. There's a few people who blame him for the SB loss, whatever. Just ignore them. The guy has been mediocre pretty much every year besides 2022 and the 2 super bowls. He's not some irreplaceable QB

Too bad JR quit yesterday. These must be the kind of positive, non-depressing posts he was longing for. Great stuff!

What do you mean?? I'm on their side. Hurts is absolutely replaceable and he should be.

His chin fits entirely inside of his helmet. Unacceptable

Thanks man. You can get access to that special section of the RAS site if you want to do some advanced scouting. You just need to have a half chewed piece of steak hoagie in your mouth and you'll see the link

I’ve posted some doozies over the years myself.

But as my 5 year old would say: "that was not a good use of screen time.”

Your 5 year old sounds smart, like me. I'm sure you are proud.

JR is as good at quitting the blog as Brandon Graham is at retiring.
