People with a lot more talent have issues overcoming a bad coach, bad OL, no run game, and injuries. Does he need to be better? Yeah, but after all these years that's why you are getting we should know by now he's not. Just now, LeanMeanGM said:That’s just who he is. He’s not a great in game decision maker. You can’t blame him.Exactly. Just now, devpool said:I'm not gonna keep going back and forth like the other dude, you're making excuses for an offense who scored 3 points in the second half because you're saying the QB is basically useless unless he's in a perfect situation. The line wasnt amazing today but they definitely played well enough in pass proUseless? No, but how many years has he been playing? How many years have we seen the same thing to know that is the result if you don't?

That 3.3 second half PPG over the last 3 weeks, becomes 1 second half PPG after today. To be honest, I think it's kind of eerie that in two different offensive schemes, the same thing is happening in the exact same half...

October 11Oct 11 Unfortunately my stance from now until it happens is going to be the same. Sirianni needs to go and I can’t wait for it to happen. And the way it happens will be a great day.

Until you get a new HC, get him a better OL, and a better system for him don't expect different results or put him in the top 3 of issues.

Plus, he’s not that good of an Xs and O’s coach. So basically makes him nonexistent in fixing the second half issues. if your strength is getting your team ready to play and putting your team in the best position to win with making decisions. He’s failed at the second part for multiple weeks in a row.As for hurts, even prior to the injuries there’s been issues with the passing game. This goes all the way back to Brian Johnson being here in 2023. They didn’t know how to pick up a blitz in 2023. Then their passing game was sporadic in 2024 until the very end. And then in 2025 it got worse. And then in 2026 is even worse now. Now granted they have more injuries now, but it wasn’t good prior to the injuries or when they had weapons on offense. At some point in time lurie isn’t going to just sit idly by. the two constants have been sirianni and Jalen hurts. Frankly, I don’t think either one of them is here by 2028. I can’t imagine Jeffrey Lurie is sitting there watching decisions being made by a head coach that is costing us games and he’s a CEO coach. A quarterback in a passing league that has seen its passing game become one of the worst over the last 3+ seasons. At some point in time, he’s gonna say you know what screwed it I’m getting rid of both of you and starting all over.

He can't coach, he brings absolutely nothing to the table other than making what he thinks are "aggressive" calls that put the team in a bad spot.If Hurts struggles with a starting OL, starting RB, WRs, etc. then sure. Until then, it's Sirianni job to manage the freaking team and claw out wins. He can't do it. He sucks

I just want to get the facts straight. Let's blame 1 person. That is pretty unreasonable to think the QB lost both games, when other parts of the team choked the leads. Again, I'm not saying Hurts played well. He did not. But given the circumstances did just enough. And other factors took over to lose games. You don’t have to blame Hurts for today at all if you don’t want. But do you extend his contract in the offseason if this keeps up? Do you tell a HC interviewing that their job is to get the best out of Hurts and adapt to him?
October 11Oct 11 A positive… I think Lemon ends up being a very good player. He shows flashes of great potential. Maybe an eventual Amon Ra type player.

At some point in time, he’s gonna say you know what screwed I’m getting rid of both of you and starting all over.To be fair, the only reason any of these decisions have had to be made at all is because they have the worst second-half offense in the league. And the reason the offense was switched to someone outside Nick's group was the consideration that maybe Nick's tree offense was the problem. But that hasn't fixed anything at all. Even with an entirely changed offensive scheme, the QB still is getting cooked by the same problem as before. No fortress level OL = pressure Jalen into nonexistence. If the dude can't process it fast enough, not sure what any offensive coach can do about that unless they can somehow develop him through that. Because otherwise you just need a fortress level OL again. The saddest part was this scheme was supposed to be "QB friendly" as well.

You can also get a coach that wants to run the offense that they want to run. Nick sirianni doesn’t have any background in the offense that they’re trying to run with mannion. That’s not what he came up with nor his philosophy. Which tells me if that’s what you wanna run that type of offense, hire a head coach that is proficient in it, indoctrinated in kt and can implement it. Don’t use the head coach that has no clue on that offense and you’re asking him to let his first time OC there has never called plays to just rely on assistants to help him do it.There’s two problems. You need a quarterback that can run that offense they want. you need a head coach that knows how to implement and fix things that go wrong with the offense which Nick does not know how to do.

Say what you want about Sirianni and what he brings to the table, gotta keep a level playing field and give Sirianni the same credit, he is top 10 in winning percentage, surrounded by HOF'ers.

October 11Oct 11 Nick gets credit for one thing today and that is getting the team ready to give a big effort and play hard. On the other hand, his in game decisions were really bad again. He got away with the horrible decision to go for it (again) and then ultimately made the bad call on the final kickoff. Overall, I think you have to give the team credit for overcoming a rash of injuries and taking a really good Jags team down to the final play. If they win next week, then the Cowboys game gets very interesting. If not, then the season will officially be slipping away.As for Hurts, he is who he is. Give him a solid OL and put him in position to win games and we will do really well. He missed Wicks today but otherwise was his normal self with some good passes, plenty of tentative play in the pocket, and also in putting the team ahead when it was called for. Mannion has to mix in some max protection and also get some type of vanilla RB screen or flair game going to help a bit until the OL can get some push in the run game.
