When did the fanbase turn on Tanner?

The organization seemingly did - hence the Andy Dalton experience.

Minimum amount of offseason reps with a brand new offense, after getting a minimum amount of reps for his whole career so far? If Hurts got 5 weeks to prove he's good with a full offseason of practice, why is 1 (3 days actually) enough for McKee? Or do you personally think reps during offseason and practice don't mean anything, and random guys coming in is normal?

Also, unlike McKee, Keenum and Hurts have actually had seasons of starting in the NFL. This game won't prove said theory either way, unless it's okay to judge Hurts on any one game?

They are so vociferous about any excuses that I will not return that favor. Sorry. But yeah I agree one game doesn't mean much. But we will be able to see if he played poor enough and will have a clue. If he's mediocre but keeps the team in the game, which is what I expect without a running game and all their problems, then I think that's a solid performance. If they get blown to smithereens and he throws picks everywhere, then he's likely a stiff. Just have to evaluate the performance. I think he will do some good things and it will be uneven and probably not enough.

I laughed

I mean, there's no way to make a real judgment off one game after he was splitting reps all offseason. If we want a real evaluation, we need multiple weeks. And that applies if he lights it up Sunday too - doesn't mean Hurts sucks or Tanner is better. It's just one game.

Saying he's a stiff if he has one bad game, after getting limited reps, is ridiculous. And crowning him after one good game would be equally ridiculous.

How many turnovers will McKee have this weekend? If it's 0 or 1. That's a good sign! 2 or more we are probably cooked. That will be what decides this game. I think he will look good at times. But will he be consistent? And not try to start running around. Because he is just not mobile to make plays on the run or get out of consistent danger. He will need to be decisive and accurate. Will find out. This is his last chance to make it rain for his offseason.

Maybe 1 or 2? I mean, the OL did look improved vs the Jags, so I hope they look good vs CAR. But he hasn't played so it's natural to assume he'll have at least one. He could have 5, idc, just as long as we still win 😄

Personally my thing has always been the same. I want a QB that throws the ball on time.

A big problem with not throwing the ball on time is that it's incredibly incredibly hard to have an offense help you out in the NFL from a longevity standpoint (once people get film on you) if it's not at least able to be done with regularity. Problem is, I'm not sure if that alone will fix everything this year. I do think it would have fixed the passing offense in 2024, and aided it in 2025 (actually, in 2025 that might have been the only way it would have worked out). But in 2026...

I'm really not sure. We'll have to see.

Guys, I’m starting to think this isn’t our year.

I may end up for tankathon if Hurts is out for the season and Tanner sucks

We're #10 at the moment according to tankathon

I could see the defense winning us a game while we'd tank lol

He will have plenty of games. If it's extreme one way or the other this week then there are signs. He's been on a downslope for a year now. So if he continues on that way, it's more evidence. He will get more cracks against pretty bad defenses after that, so we shall know then.

BTW, regarding Mestemaker, I looked at a mock draft last week and Mestemaker was the 2nd QB off the board as a top 5 pick, I don't see that happening but you never know.

if a team is in love with what josh allen is I could see it

Mike soon to be spotted with Dalton's agent out as a nice dinner as a thank you for this report.

Not a single team is trying to sign Dalton lol...

Dalton's agent: "Sure I've got a few other teams calling for Andy, but I like your style."

Good thing we have 2028 draft capital to move up

No thank you on Chambliss. Moore and Maiava

Id take flyers on Carr, Mensah and Mestemaker

The Hurts news might have saved Howie from doing something stupid to try to win a bad division. Embrace the tank and developing young guys and the OC. Trade Ojomo and anyone else we don’t see on the team in 2027.

5 QBs in the top ten seems like a good year to get an edge that falls.

I am with @jojodancer , I think McKee plays well enough to keep PHI in the game. CAR is 10th in total yds allowed, but are 26th in points allowed...more importantly they are 31st in rushing yds allowed (DAL is 32nd). The running game needs to show something this week and that should give them some confidence going into next week as well.

After the last three weeks PHI is due some good fortune on the field. It's been a crappy start of the season with injuries for sure, every team deals with them, but PHI has had way more than it's share this year already.

It would probably help if we weren't down to our 4th string RB who probably shouldn't be rostered and a makeshift O-line

He tries to do too much. Mental mistakes. I didn't think he was going to come out anyways. Thought he would play his senior year and graduate

Nah. Howie will try and get his QB. I do like Simmons from Texas but QB is more of a need
