Cooper has been not good. Riq has fallen off. This defense doesn't get off the field. Doesn't get turnovers and doesn't get sacks. Not a good defense. We need to get past the part, yes the offense sucks bad. Acknowledged. But the defense ain't sheet. You and I are watching different games. They get off the field a lot and cause field goals instead of TDs normally until the 4th quarter. I think for the safeties, we have one really bad safety and one low end avg. Edge is an issue, but it was last year as well. Cooper has been up and down with more bad play than we're accustomed to, but he's also functioning in a different way this year, which is obvious. But with a Vic style defense, the quick hitter zone beaters are always going to be an issue, but we're in the top of the league (11) in defensive EPA in the first 3 quarters, it's only when they are tired in the 4th that they become "bad". I want them to be better, but they are far from a bad defense.

Where was it?And is it normal for one single clot to turn into multiple pulmonary clots? It seems to me - someone who is not a doctor, doesn't play one on TV and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night - that there might be some sort of underlying condition. I'm glad they were watching more than just the clot in his leg.

Do they get sacks? Are they clutch and make big stops? They are mid. Again. Offense. Stinks. I think people want to compare them as an easy excuse.
1 hour ago1 hr This will lead to some NFL protocol changes. Next time there’s a player diagnosed with blood clots, he’s getting shut down immediately.

That said, I think they’ll be honest with themselves and see that Sirianni isn’t an advantage creator. He is not a problem solver. It’s time for a reset. The issue they have is the FO introduced instability into the playing ecosystem (as is their right) and its been a factor in the issues on field - everyone in the NFL can see that. Mannion (using their preferred system) is looking as out of depth as Patullo was, they asked QB1 to do stuff contrary to his strengths and the O personnel is downgrade from what it was last year. You can ask questions about the Greenard trade, the medical staff, some draft picks. All out of the remit of the HC.Of course Sirianni can go and will at some point, but the FO at some point need to own their hand in the mess on field, in the same way, they took their flowers after winning the Super Bowl.
1 hour ago1 hr I'm curious if Hurts would ask to be traded after this medical mishap. Sounds like a huge F up

1 hour ago1 hr There’s some chatter that the Eagles medical staff didn’t do a full body scan after the Rams again, only a scan on his leg. If that’s the case the clots in his lung could have been there the whole time?I find it hard to believe the staff was this negligent, that’s losing your license type of stuff.

In some ways, a sprained ankle is worse. We have post op patients who get routine screening for blood clots and superficial positives aren’t even remotely concerning. They are just monitored (and these are sick patients that are completely immobilized). To go from a press release calling a clot superficial to backtracking and calling it DVT/PE inside of a couple days based nothing but other opinions 100% means it was missed.
58 minutes ago58 min We are gonna be bad. For awhile. Are people coming to grips with this yet? Howie can do no wrong! Took a Superbowl champion and turned it into sheet in about 18 months. Don't wanna hear excuses. Own up-to that!
58 minutes ago58 min So, with today's news, a recap of yesterday's debacle seems pointless. So this is more of a check-in on where we are, what we need to do going forward.Offensive Coaching - There's no way around it - Mannion is in way over his head. Honestly, the whole offensive staff seems to be, especially Kuper. Our lineman seem to do OK with blocking one on one, but the scheme is just ridiculous. Even I know asking Darius Cooper to come from outside the TE to block a defensive end is a recipe for disaster. The offense looks somewhat functional when they just go shotgun and tempo (basically running Nick's offense) - TD drive yesterday, end of game against Titans, etc. But we are horrible when under center, and that's coaching. Read a stat that we haven't run a single straight drop back from under center - they are all runs or play action. We get blitzed EVERY time, can't pick it up, and are drawing dead. Maybe a slant as a hot route to the middle of the field that has been vacated??Before the Jalen news, my vote was going to be Nick should take over play calling. If he was about to get fired, at least go down with what he believes in. Mannion keeps calling the under center stuff and we simply can't do it. I wouldn't mind seeing Mannion stripped of play calling and Nick or Grizzard taking over. It really can't get worse.Offensive Line - Just play the kids, even if Landon is "healthy". Kendall, Lampkin and Bell need reps to see if they are the future. All three have been somewhat encouraging. I am worried Nick will play LD out of loyalty, but it's a waste at this point.Wide Receiver - Lemon has been encouraging the last few weeks. Feed him more with throws over the middle, see if he can break some tackles. Wicks and Cooper are also nice surprises.Tight End - Just cut Mundt and Jenkins already. Put Stowers on the 53 and see what happens, get him reps. I'd rather have Calcaterra on the 53 than Mundt or Jenkins. The defense has been doing all it can to keep us in games. Not many young guys I'm desperate to see out there - maybe Newby. Also, lost season, so just keep getting Campbell and Mukuba reps.
57 minutes ago57 min One thing I will say about doctors in general and I've come to learn this seeing a lot of doctors over the years for a lot of different medical issues, and good doctors too in Philly which has some of the world's best doctors.... so much of medicine is not precise. When I was younger I used to thing that if I went into 10 doctors offices with an arm that was killing me, they'd all have a strict pre-analyzed procedural checklist they'd go over to diagnose exactly what is going on, and that's really not how it works. So you're going to have the armchair social media layman act like they know what the Eagles should have done and maybe the Eagles doctors royally screwed up here... that is certainly a possibility, but I really don't know if it's any different than what most doctors would have done. And there's also a possibility that information wasn't relayed probably either from doctors to player to team. Definitely need more clarity before I start making definitive conclusions.

What about the next big cap hits his contract is going to do?It depends on how much of the contract Howie insured. Knowing Lurie’s commitment, it might be all of it. We’d get every single game check he misses back (unless the insurance decides he only missed time due to our medical malpractice……)

Who does the Medical staff fall under in the organization?

My guess is because Howie converted most of it to a 1 time bonus we won’t get a ton, but maybe if he misses multiple years we’ll get those 1-time bonuses back in the future

I don't know what the threshold for triggering the insurance is, but I have to think a medical situation that causes him to miss the majority of the season will qualify.
