1 hour ago1 hr I defended the medical staff 2 days ago and I’ll bash them now. If you are going to issue a press release that your franchise player has a superficial clot, you better have done every test under the sun to ensure it’s only a superficial clot. These almost never progress when left untreated and it takes time to do so.

I just hope Eagles don't get punished like a draft pick being removed or somethingIf it comes out the Eagles did something to get punished for, I hope they do. It will suck but the point of the punishment would be that it doesn’t happen again and internal processes change. If they did everything by the book and this is just a freak occurrence, than they should not be punished. One thing the Eagles need to start doing is taking the decision out of players hands. They obviously let Hurts play knowing what he went through. They let Dickerson and Jurgens play knowing they were not fit to play. Hell, they even let some JAG like Steele come back to the game yesterday after hurting his shoulder and only lasted a snap or two before pulling him out for the day. They need to start putting their foot down and telling players they aren’t playing in their condition.

1 hour ago1 hr Was Kendall actually healthy enough to play or were they sitting him for one more week?

Again, you are letting the 4th quarter issues, some of which they had no part in (Jags game looking at you) cloud your vision of the defense. Are they as good as 2 years ago? No, but that was one of the better defensive groups ever according to the stats. I still think we're a good defense with no protection from the offense. I think with a top 16-20 offense or higher, they are a top 10 defense, just not top 5 like they have been the past couple years. But the O, given the injuries and all, is worse than it was even last year. Sacks are still an issue, for sure, but we're built to play from a lead where they need to take more chances, but we're playing from behind now a lot of the time and teams can take more high percentage plays. They are not good in about 5 positions. With 1 guy who has not gotten back to his 2024 form in Carter. Davis who can't pass rush. Edges that are mid and have been overpumped in here. The trio of CBs have been a disappointment to be honest with you. Along with the depth behind it. And yes the 4th quarter counts. They have guys on rotation and injuries that the accumulation of snaps hasn't hit everyone in the defense. It's earlier in the season and really shouldn't play a huge factor. It is a factor though. But overprojected to only hide that we have several holes there that take the whole thing down. Potential isn't getting results. And I feel much of this is expressed to take sides here and to shidd and hyperfocus on a bad offense. Which I've conceded is really bad! The Texans played with a sheet offense last year and were still dominant til the end.

1 hour ago1 hr I can't see Sirianni surviving this year if Mannions offense doesn't work out. I think the FO is hell bent on seeing if Mannion can produce some kind of proof of concept out there. I don't think it makes much sense to stick Mannion in a corner and see if Sirianni can salvage it. He can't and it gives the FO no other option but to blow the whole thing up and start over next season. There's no way Sirianni stays if they have to find yet another OC to make it work.I think they will ride it out with Mannion and see if there's anything there and let him take his lumps. If it continues to be much of the same, they can part ways with Mannion and Siri and start over.
1 hour ago1 hr Ok so I don’t know the standard policies and procedures when it comes to communication between the medical staff and Eagles brass (Lurie, Howie, Siri). I assumed the medical staff saw he had a blood clot and communicated it with the Eagles brass? Which means the brass said he was OK to play?I cannot imagine (sure it’s definitely possible) that someone smart enough to become a medical professional would be dumb enough to sign off on Hurts playing knowing that it could cost them their job, let alone medical license. I hear horror stories from athletic trainers who speak about getting threatened from parents because they diagnose their kid with a concussion and won’t let them continue to play in their game. Not sure how all of this works but my gut says Howie OK’d it when Hurts told him he wanted to play. The medical staff will get blamed though.

I don’t see them firing a midseason because of the success he’s had prior to this year. Add on the only way it happens is if stuff off the field happens like with chip. Which I don’t see happening with him.I do think the Eagles are probably looking at this team and seeing who still plays hard till the end of the year. I agree with BG when he said this yesterday on PHLY. Also if there’s improvement with the offense over the course of time. If the offense still lacks improvements from now til end of the season, then I think they’ll make a decision that yes the offense was going to not be great but poor adjustments or lack of any improvement is concerning with or without guys healthy. If there’s improvement and guys still play hard then i think sirianni has a stronger chance to be back for 2027Yup. They won't fire him now because it may actually make things worse for the team. If the FO truly believe they can right the ship quickly, its a case of knuckling down and adjusting to the new reality vs blowing it all up. And who would come in to replace him? The schematic die was cast in February and no HC coming in can do more than tinker at the fringes.

Again, just like LD and CJ last year, the final call is on the coaching staff to say "you're not playing today". Were they technically healthy? Sure, to a degree. Were they even remotely competent? Absolutely not. Another failure by the CEO coach.

You obviously need to hit on these picks, but a top 5-8 pick this year along with four picks within the first 60 for 2028 is a strong foundation. I think the worst thing they can do is win 6-7 games this year.Sucks we don’t have our 3rd due to the Greenard trade. Thats hurts especially cause he is apparently made from glass since coming here and can’t stay on the field. can say he has bad injury luck but their were concerns prior to that trade. Like he had missed games in every year he’s played besides one and was 3 or more games in 4 of 6 seasons now 5 of his 7 seasons. I always question why a team is trading a guy who’s highly productive. Especially with a coordinator like Brian Flores who could’ve pounded the table for him and they had the money to get it done. And they didn’t want to. Those are always concerns when you make a trade. AJ Brown one was more bad ownership not wanting to pay a guy who was only 25 and his HC was pissed off they didn’t. Thought BG said something interesting yesterday on PHLY. They will look at what players are still playing hard and want to play when the chips are down. They don’t really have a whole lot to play for. All that said, I think hurts was back in 2027 regardless. Sirianni i think it’s dicier. Season from hell with injuries but will guys still play hard to the end and will offense start showing improvement. I think lurie is also going to weigh the fact the pass offense had been not good in the two previous seasons prior to this as well. They need to use those picks to rebuild the offense while still needing to find themselves another S, 2nd corner, LB as Baun’s contract runs out after next year and a pass rusher. Could make the argument need another DT. They got a lot to fix offensively and defensively they have more holes then i think they anticipated cause Mukuba, smith and Campbell haven’t worked out like they planned

Whatever they diagnosed him with, it was clearly a misdiagnosis. I realize these decisions need to be made fairly quickly, but even I know an overseas plane trip can worsen blood clots.
