Option bonuses should theoretically avaialable then.

Are they clutch and make big stops? They are mid. Again. Offense. Stinks. I think people want to compare them as an easy excuse.FFS, after the Eagles made it 19-14, the defense got a 3 and out and set up the offense with great field position to take the lead. The offense went 3 and out, got a punt blocked, and that's the ballgame. The Panthers scoring drives were 32 yards (started at their 39 after a 3 and out), 35 yards (Mann shank after a 3 and out), 36 yards (made 52 yard FG), 92 yards (that's 100% on the defense) and 48 yards (after the blocked punt). They faced 74 plays because the offense can't stay on the field...Blaming the defense is beyond insane. Are you actually ESP posting on here?
1 hour ago1 hr There is a path to a somewhat quick turnaround but that includes completely bombing this year for a top 5 pick. You obviously need to hit on these picks, but a top 5-8 pick this year along with four picks within the first 60 for 2028 is a strong foundation. I think the worst thing they can do is win 6-7 games this year.

But at the same time, what's the point of insuring a contract for only 1M in value? The premium is higher than the benefit.

So if they get ~70% (12 of 17 games missed), would be ~$15mm.

A sprained ankle can't turn into losing your life. The other thing can escalate. And exactly what happened. To minimize anything with the word clot in its context is just a dumb thing to say.1 minute ago, vikas83 said:FFS, after the Eagles made it 19-14, the defense got a 3 and out and set up the offense with great field position to take the lead. His salary is below $1.5mm every year. It's not just insuring the salary.

It's very obvious that the offense is having a negative effect on the defense. Even yesterday they held one of the best offenses in the league this year (statistically) to 13 points through 3 quarters. No defense is making every single stopYeah i posted it. Also posted the numbers thru 6 games in the 4th quarter they are awful. They’ve given up 134 points this year (not including the kickoff return then FG cause wasn’t on them). Given up 55 in the 4th and 79 the other 3. It’s clearly an issue by the 4th they are getting gassed and it shows up consistently.
1 hour ago1 hr Here is what has been unsaid by the media (and the eagles).PEs are life threatening. BUT…they are life threatening when you have it and don’t know that you do. (Which, ironically, was the case with the eagles and Hurts for a period of time). Once you actually recognize it and go on blood thinners (anticoagulation), the danger and concern drops way, way down. Response to this medication is very, very reliable. It’s not really some coin toss as to what happens from here. Now that it IS dvt/pe, they need to answer (at least internally) exactly why it happened. It he had a legit calf injury/contusion that provoked this, then he is good to go for next season with zero concern. If it came out of nowhere, then you worry about an underlying condition and recurrence.Missed DVT/PE is a pretty big lawsuit trigger in the medical community, specifically in the ortho world. It’s normally "understandable” because the resources aren’t in place to just ultrasound the daylight out of everyone in perpetuity. But to miss it in a $250m athlete when you already knew they had a superficial clot…and told everyone it was only a superficial clot? They are in a little bit of hot water over this.

So much happening out his control, especially when some of the issues were created by the FO themselves. With everything that’s happened injury wise to the roster, it’s why I think they would let him play out the year before making their decision. I don’t see them firing a midseason because of the success he’s had prior to this year. Add on the only way it happens is if stuff off the field happens like with chip. Which I don’t see happening with him. I do think the Eagles are probably looking at this team and seeing who still plays hard till the end of the year. I agree with BG when he said this yesterday on PHLY. Also if there’s improvement with the offense over the course of time. If the offense still lacks improvements from now til end of the season, then I think they’ll make a decision that yes the offense was going to not be great but poor adjustments or lack of any improvement is concerning with or without guys healthy. If there’s improvement and guys still play hard then i think sirianni has a stronger chance to be back for 2027
47 minutes ago47 min CALISTO, a randomized trial of 3,002 patients with superficial clot: Symptomatic DVT or PE occurred in 1.3% with placebo versus 0.2% with fondaparinux by day 47.1% after 47 days untreated.4 days ago, they called it a superficial clot. A superficial clot does not progress to dvt/PE in that time frame in a healthy individual that is not bedridden. They missed it.

Again, you are letting the 4th quarter issues, some of which they had no part in (Jags game looking at you) cloud your vision of the defense. Are they as good as 2 years ago? No, but that was one of the better defensive groups ever according to the stats. I still think we're a good defense with no protection from the offense. I think with a top 16-20 offense or higher, they are a top 10 defense, just not top 5 like they have been the past couple years. But the O, given the injuries and all, is worse than it was even last year. Sacks are still an issue, for sure, but we're built to play from a lead where they need to take more chances, but we're playing from behind now a lot of the time and teams can take more high percentage plays.
