I'm really hoping both Mailata and Herbig keep getting reps and continue to improve.  I think both can be at least solid starters with Mailata having the high upside.  He gets his technique down and he could be a special player.  Pryor I think should be better than what he is right now so I'm not counting on him.  Driscoll is a rookie and needs more training up and to build up his strength.  He's at least another season away from being a reliable starter.  My concern is Kelce retiring.  I think that'll be a bigger blow to the continuity of the OL than anything.

We need a compliment to Sanders at RB.  We have a 3rd down specialist in Scott and Clement hasn't been good since the SB season.  He hasn't gotten back on track after his injuries.  I'm OK with Scott just being a 3rd down option, but we need a RB2 behind Sanders.  If Sanders gets hurt our ground game is F'd.  Agree that we can draft one in rounds 4-5 or sign a FA for a fair price.  Don't need to use a high pick for that.

Once again I agree.  I think we should really try to get Kelce to sign up for two more years.  Figure out someway to incentivize him to stay.

RB - Absolutely.  Howard is the yard stick.  A solid RB.  Doesn't have to be a great one at all.

Was kind of my point lol  And I really hope Reagor turns out to be something because it would appear that every WR taken around him is the next Jerry Rice

Especially when they play against our defense.

So many of these throws are trust throws. Let’s face it.... if Carson doesn’t trust you to win your battle and be where you need to be, he’s not gonna give you a pass. That’s JJaw’s biggest problem.

but beyond that..... this thread has become about something else. It should be about Travis Fulgham balling out.

I'm now sold on Fulgham getting extended playing time after a legitimate breakout performance (rather than 2 catches).

We can mix in Jeffery, DJax and Reagor if and when they return. JJAW looks like a bust and I don't think Hightower or Watkins are ready yet.

He did great, let's see if he can keep it going and show himself to be a legitimate starting receiver in this league.

And another thing. This dude is a hands catcher. Not a body catcher. Not an arms catcher. A hands catcher. Love that about him. Hightower dropped that td pass because he tried to catch it in his arms and cradle it and it flew by him. If he flips his arms over and uses his hands to catch it, it becomes MUCH EASIER a reception chance.

Fulgham is clearly a Jeffery replacement.at this point but I'm not sure if the team see it that way.

I'll get excited when he's had two more good games.

That's the hope. He had a legitimate big game, but he needs to show it consistently over a season, particularly as teams get more tape on him. If he could fill that role though, then that is huge in respect of us being able to go elsewhere high in the draft and/or in free agency.

Oh there's no doubt. He had a huge play against SF and then a huge game against Pittsburgh. That's not enough to show that he's 100% legit. But I do like this kid a lot. I liked what I saw yesterday certainly.

I thought there were signs yesterday of a real genuine baller not just a flash in the pan.

This wasn't a couple of 50 yard TD catches. This wasn't a jaw dropping one handed catch or some crazy play. This was 10 or so really good NFL WR plays. Gaining separation, being aggressive, running good routes.

Exactly mate. I'm cautiously optimistic. He had a genuinely big game against a top 5 D in the league. This is something material which hopefully he can build on and be our long term replacement for AJ.

I think it's fair to say we can have hope. We can be excited about what he can bring to this team. So let's see it for another 11 games.

I mean... He was more pre season though right! And he did make a lot of tough catches.

I'm in the midst of a Fulghasm.

A guy like Greg Ward always looked like he was just a product of circumstance, but not a legit NFL talent. Fulgham is beginning to look like there's legit talent there to play in the league for a long time.

The split to me is like 7 or 8 open, 2 or 3 real trust theirs. The first five throws at least Fulgham was open and made plays. That combined with the TD last game is how you get the QB to trust you. Until JJAW does those basics first, he isn’t going to get 50-50 balls thrown his way.

Here is my concern: The old a** injury prone WR's are going to play- maybe even this week. Why would you take playing time away from Fulgham?? The idiotic offensive committee of 25 could find away to take time away from our new hero and give it to these 2 old a** WR's. If they do, I swear, I'm gonna change that channel. They HAVE to let this guy keep playing and see what they have in him, because he has earned it and actually looks like the real deal. The other WR's have contributed NOTHING this year.

This dude can play, bottom line. Love the way he aggressively goes after the ball when it’s in the air. Good hands, runs some sharp routes (on one of the sacks Wentz took, Fulgham had absolutely roasted his man on a double move and was open down the field). Alshon can stay out, I want to see this kid keep starting and see where he goes.

THIS----------> "Alshon can stay out, I want to see this kid keep starting and see where he goes." I swear, the Eagles offensive committee of 25 better not screw this up!!

The thing with Fulgham is Wentz really, really trusts him and that's working on the field. There's a connection there that you don't interrupt. If it wasn't for the Steelers game, I'd say, "yeah ... put Jeffery in as soon as he's available." But now, things have changed. Sanders has been a bright spot on offense this year and now Fulgham stepped up and provided another. We can't afford to lose that energy out there.

As much as I defend JJAW around here, even I don't advocate taking snaps away from Fulgham to get JJAW some work. JJAW can spell him when he needs to rest a couple plays, but that's it.

Exactly. Both JJAW and Fullgham are from the same draft. Same position, size, body type.

Who cares how they came here i.e. one bring a 2nd round pick and one on the scrap heap. Bottom line is if one is making plays and we found ourselves a receiver - that’s a success. And that’s all that matters.

Imagine we would draft Fulgham instead of JJAW...he would suck here first year just as JJAW and might have never recover from it and might be the same bust JJAW is now...given the success rate of Eagles WR drafts I'd say never pick a WR just take some 2nd year guys randomly from other team practice squads or whatever 😅

Agree 100%.  Wentz and Fulgham are building a new repertoire ... it would be foolish to mess with it.  Looking forward to getting Reagor back on the field to play opposite him.  And hopefully Goedert is back soon ... he'll give the offense a boost and some much needed plays from the TE position (since Ertz has all but disappeared).
