OK, here's my best guess. This is what I think happens up until our pick. I have no doubt that Howie will pick Paye and ruin all of our nights.

1. Jags - Lawrence

2. Jets - Wilson

3. 49ers - Jones (I think everyone else in the building wants Lance, but Shannahan is the golden boy and gets his man)

4. Falcons -  Pitts (no one pays the asking price)

5. Bengals - Sewell (Burrow wants Chase, but FO overrules and gets a left tackle to protect the franchise QB)

6. Dolphins - Chase (and Eagles' fans die a little inside)

7. Lions - Slater (so many needs, but Goff needs protection. Will try to trade)

8. Patriots (trade with Carolina) - Fields (could see Lance, but I think Belichick goes for the OSU QB)

9. Broncos - Lance (just not sure how they don't take him if he is still there)

10. .... - Horn

11. Midgets - Waddle (Eagles fans die inside again)

12. Eagles - Surtain (I'd be fine with Smith too, Howie gonna take Paye though)

Giving the lions and bengals too much credit. I think that’s what they should do. However what they should and what those two franchise actually do usually don’t line up.

also don’t know if it’s true but there was a BR report the Patriots are working on a trade for Jimmy G and a contract restructuring to get it done. Might be false at the end of all this.

It looks like more often than other schools they do live up to their draft position. I think your bias is not borne out by the players drafted.  There are 28, as I count them, 1st round picks over the last 10 years.  The only real bust is Dee Milliner.  Here is a list:

He stole a base too.  He's now on 3rd base.  I hope he doesn't fall of it.

Odubel Herrera i see is actually worse than Haseley. 0-9 this year. Needs to go 4 his next 12 to catch Haseley’s .190 production lol

Got a notification on my tablet that the Eagles are desperately trying to move up in front of the Cowboys... I guess it's a good thing that we didn't have the #6 pick to start the offseason with... then what would Howie have to do?

You don't really believe that nonsense, do you?

I'm sure Howie has talked with Denver and Carolina about "what if" scenarios - what will it cost to move up.

Then the media jumps on someone in those teams' offices who reports that Howie is "desperate" to move up.

I'm also sure Howie has talked to most of the teams behind the Eagles, asking what they'd pay to move up to the Eagles pick.

Because with 15 minutes on the clock (and 7 the next round), the parameters of a trade have to be in place.

You never know, maybe Pitts or Chase fall to #8 when Howie expected them to go #4-5 b/c some team in that area traded down an hour before.

Or Howie is looking at the options at #12, and feels that if someone will offer enough, he'd be just as happy picking at #20.

Would you trade the MIA draft capital to move up to #4 for Kyle Pitts?

So essentially return to what we had when we were at #6 but instead sit at #4?

Two of those three really don’t matter.

Quez Watkins looked "ok" as a backup Z last year. Why draft his replacement in RD3 when we have so many holes?

Because they project to be a lot better? They’re the best player available?

I dunno, but having Quez Watkins drive a decision isn’t great process, even if I like him some.
