Yea the Bears schedule is killer. They could be a playoff team or pick top 5. Toney is a future replacement for Shep. He has concussion issues and Toney is more dynamic. Again I don’t like WR in round 1, but he brings something to the team that we don’t have. Paye would have been a good pick as well, but we have a pretty good defense. Thomas is not a guard. He’ll be a really good LT. We need to draft the biggest, baddest G available in round 2. There’s plenty available.

I have been critical of the pick....only because I didn't want to draft a WR at 12 or 6 to begin with.  I am have been consistent with that.  But it is what it is.  I am not livid like I was last year and I am not poo pooing it like I was last year.  I am trying to rationalize the pieces now.  

Would be great to have OTA's.......but.....

The one thing that could be problematic with Hurts and crossers is his height.  You need to see over the line.  

I know that because he never hit a receiver in stride, which is the exact thing required for a crossing route.

I would love to know more about Kelvin Joseph's character concerns. Is he as bad as Parsons? Is he a guy who can still manage to have a long career like Talib did?

I could be more willing to take a chance on his character than I was with Farley's injury history. Hes a 1st round CB talent sitting there. Could get pretty enticing.

Ok, maybe 25% of the time, usually on go routes.  The question we are discussing is "can he do it without getting the receiver killed"...Ertz had to over-extend for high balls and got drilled so many times.  Wentz usually made the receiver either stop or shuffle backwards to make the catch.

Yeah, he sucks. I think we have the second to last receiving core in the league. Smith helps that now obviously. But I still want more over the next two off seasons. I'm not a believer in any of our receivers unfortunately (not including Smith)

He is enticing but I can't take any chances on dud personalities...  Id be fine with the Georgia CB or Asante's boy. St-Juste, Melifonwu, Adebo

I’d be pretty pumped to come out of this draft with any one of Campbell, Samuel Jr, or Melifonwu.  Samuel being about 5’10 worries me a bit, wish he was 6’0 ..... but anything is better than starting 5’8 Avonte Maddox on the outside

From limited info, it seems his character concerns are more maturity/coaching related than Parsons just being a scumbag.

Sirianni brought up his affinity for crossing routes last night.   Man is that nice to hear.  Something that was severely lacking in our offense the past few years.  There is so much you can develop off of those, if successful.  Short yardage run game.  Downfield shots.  RB to the flats.  Seams to the TE.  Really need to drill the execution of it.  But something I am excited to see.
