Yes, it would be. Hopefully this is not another Sidney Jones.  I want to love the pick.

The 2nd round run on OL told us a lot.  Teams all had high grades on a bunch of these guys.  Clearly viewed as a strong position in this draft even though only one guy in the top ten.  Eagles again had that read right.

I wanted a CB or the ND LB more but this kid has the upside to be better than all of those options.

Going all in on a QB with multiple premium picks has half a decade long franchise crippling level of risk. Missing a 2nd round pick, not so much.

I'm an anti JJAW guy, not a pro DK guy.  With that being said,  DK had his injury in the middle of his college career and finished his career on the field.  There's a big difference in having a different injury every year and never finishing a season and injuring your back, fixing it and then playing and having it be a worry.  

There was no question that DK was going to play his rookie year.  The question is does the injury come up again.  Then you look at how the guy takes care of himself.  A workout warrior, doing everything possible to build his body to help prevent further injuries.

Not every injury is an IF.  

For the record, I would have taken Caleb Farley in the 3rd this year.

Well, 'off the board' to me says 'off the board'  end of the draft means its over and you are going UDFAs.

But, there's the 3rd round (which is where I've mentioned I had Dickerson graded, due to injuries)... same place they took Jordan Hicks.  That was a smart risk.  Jones was a stupid risk in Round 2.  Same as Dickerson.   He said, not in Round 2.   I've said, not in Round 2.   Round 3 is where you take the chance on the constantly injured player, or the major injury guy.   Top of Round 2 is where you target the guy who slipped through the cracks of Round 1, not due to injury but due to the way the board breaks and runs at some positions.

Injuries are educated guesses.

Probably less important for linemen because they can compensate with technique and strength, if you're a WR or CB, losing a step can be fatal.

But it comes down to the type of injury.

Dickerson's ankle issues seem to have subsided, he did play 24 straight games for the Tide, before tearing the other ACL.

He's not the first player to come out of college tearing both ACLs, it's not the issue it was a couple decades ago with advances in surgery.

But the probability of a re-occurence over his NFL career is higher.

Eh they really needed a center with linsley leaving for the Chargers. Frankly they addressed two massive holes. Kevin king sucked and stokes will be an upgrade. When linsley left they needed a starting center. Myers will likely start day one
