Interior OL is not a premiere position of need in the NFL, so we can remove that argument from consideration.  It never has been, and it still isn't.  This wasn't an OT, CB, QB, or DE.  Interior OL are not 'premiere' positions.  Going for a player like Samuel at a premier position, without the injury concern isn't exactly 'conservative', its smart.

There's no round cut off for evaluating risk/reward ratio. It's a myth.  The Titans took a guy with 2 back surgeries in the first this year. 

And yes a center is a premiere position. Kelce has been a massive part of our offense for years. But yeah let's take an undersized corner instead. Never seen the downside of that nice as an Eagles fan. I like Samuel but that's a silly example.

I agree.  And I don't blame anyone for being concerned with the pick...especially when most fans wanted a CB or LB there.  If we weren't looking for a CB or LB at 37, the reaction would likely have been better, imo.
