Hurts is a franchise QB?

Yes. It's obvious.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Fair point, but with the health of this OL, I wouldn't say that Dickerson 100% won't be see the field.  I'd say more like 50%.

Yeah, obvious.  Lot's of 2nd round pick QB's are labeled franchise QB's before they even prove they can throw the football.

Not by me.

I am convinced, was already pretty sure after college - but after watching his four games it's obvious.

He said 100% they won't see the field to start the season. Have to read the fine print.

There's a fine line there.  Drafting players that will definitely see the field suggest that you are biasing towards need and not necessarily your board.

Dillard started in week 6 and was going to be the week 1 starter the following year. JJAW started in week 3 and would have started if he wasn't terrible. Hurts started in week 14 and is the starter.

Dickerson will play in 2021 and will be the starting LG/C/RG in 2022.

The 4 games were objectively unimpressive, both in terms of arm strength and decision making ..... not sure what you thought you saw

Are you sure about that? He's recovering from a torn acl...

No. No it's really not.

It's only 100% if Dickerson himself isn't healthy.  I wouldn't put any money our starting 5 OL making it out of training camp.  Kelce is a rock, but is 33.  Mailata has constantly dealt with back problems and has been unable to stay healthy.  Dillard is coming off IR.  Brooks and Lane will be out of the lineup sooner rather than later.

We could easily be into the backups for week 1.

Again you guys need to read the fine print. Hes not saying they won't/didn't start at some point. he said they wont/didn't see the field at the start of the season. He gave himself some wiggle room there.

To me, the Joe Douglas tenure was a lot of swinging for singles in the draft.  Guys who were unlikely to bust, but were supporting cast with no Pro Bowl candidates as the rule.

I don't mind taking a few big swings on guys like DeVonta Smith and Dickerson.

The Dickerson pick doesn’t upset me cause he went in the 2nd. Optimistic with it. Worse things have been routinely done around here.

If there were a prop bet of Dickerson playing more offensive snaps next year than Dillard or Lane Johnson, I'd be interested in the odds.

IMO Humphrey was clearly a better C than Dickerson but you like Dickerson I guess hopefully not because you trust their judgement as the be all end all, obviously that’s questionable ... at the least. So you know where I’m coming from I’m positive on Hurts that he can improve, will improve and with a very good chance to be our QB for a while. I think Howie has bigger fish to fry and he needs to live or die by his drafts, wrong pick at 37 which should be a lot more sure thing than Dickerson

Humphrey had issues with off target shotgun snaps at OU. Wonder if they didn’t consult Hurts about that. Dickerson is a better C and a much better G than Humphrey, especially how the Eagles like to use a C.  The double ACLs concern me a bit. If healthy going forward, and that is a huge IF, he was the BPA.

I've seen good runs, good decisions and a good arm..

People are just 100% about the end result and don't care if the OL was hurt as f.. he had no offseason and the team was in shambles.

It's a joke. Everyone who really looks at his performance honestly has to see he is our future franchise. There isn't even a hint of doubt in my mind.

So much so that most of the fanbase and coaching staff feel otherwise. Go look up Tebow's first four starts and compare them with Hurts if you're so convinced.

More like BPA'IH.

Best Player Available, if Healthy

Is today the day Ertz is finally traded?

You led with good runs.  Says it all.  Maybe he can be our franchise RB.  That's mostly what he was for those 4 games.

I don't give a rats ass about the talent evaluation of you guys though! 😁

I am telling you all! You're all blind if you don't see it!!!!

And why would we bench Seumalo, Kelce or Brooks

Kelce or Brooks only if injured.. But Seumalo was a weak link at LG most of the time.

Ok, he looked decent some of the time. But if I had to name one guy that looked not up to it I would name Seumalo over Mailata, really.

But let's get real: Seumalo as starting center really sucked!

Optimism is a good thing, and what's best for the franchise right now would be for Hurts to ball out this season so the 3 first round picks next year can be spent adding blue-chip positional players ..... but there were a lot of late throws to the middle of the field -- especially downfield, too many runs, and a lot of fumbles.

Hopefully Hurts and Smith form a dynamic duo
