I think on the third day you're looking for fliers, like in a normal draft at the end and when bidding for priority UDFAs (usually sign 4 or 5 of these guys each year who are pretty similar in talent to the last two rounds). This year those priority UDFAs will be drafted in the 6th and 7th rds, the guys left over are going to be thin pickings. So I have no problem garnering more picks to take chances on guys coming off injuries, or who opted out, or small college athletes - so what if you cut half of them. Otherwise you're trading up for a lot of guys who are 3rd tier prospects who in many cases have backup ceilings. Those are the guys good teams want to fill out their rosters and build depth. We don't want depth, we want winning lottery tickets.

Yep go high upside athletes.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

These 8 picks are really going to hurt Howie's track record when none of them are on the team 2 seasons from now

The remaining draft strength appears strongest at positions we already picked— DT and WR. I would be fine double dipping. Draft a WR with size.

Some good OL left as well. Smith, Brown, and Forsythe. All about the double dip for BPA.

Just what this crap roster needs, a flood of third day picks... Great

Whoever ends up with Cox is getting a hell of a player in round 4, IMO. Just hope we can manage to be the team.

It just means they have more raffle tickets than anyone at this point.  More chances to find a gem.

Some of them might not be on the team 4 months from now.

Yup, stack up lotto tickets. If one hits, you're gold, if none do, who cares.

Whoever didn’t like the first 3 picks — spoiler alert — aren’t gonna like the other 8 picks, either

Slay might be switching to #2.  His jersey number is still higher than his career Eagles INTs.

The Eagles actually take a very, very different approach to late picks than they do with early ones.

The problem with the Eagles draft is the change in style, while good, is such a stark change to what they have been doing

This is a huge issue.  Watch the Steelers, Chiefs and Ravens draft.  You know exactly the kind of player they are getting every time.

What's the Eagles style of draft?  Risks and projects?

Jamie Newman looks like a Jalen Hurts clone — watch for him as the QB prospect Eagles pick today

Can we draft a qb prospect who can pass instead?

Watch the Browns take him with the Eagles original pick.

Gainwell is my guy but i just cant go rb if there are good defenders on the board

I do like Gainwell but don't they need a back with some more size and power? They need both imo actually. Gainwell can replace Scott but that power back with some receiving skills I think is still needed since Howard is basically shot and a waste of money and roster spot. Shoulda went for a cheap healthy player with way less miles in Brian Hill.

give me a few of these guys

Tyree Gillespie s

Kylin Hill Rb

Javian Hawkins rb

Derrick Barnes lb

Elerson Smith edge

Tay Gowan  cb

Jonathan Adams  wo

Austin Watkins wo

Caden Sterns s

Hamilcar Rashed edge

Johnathan Marshall dl

Cam McGrone lb

James Hudson ot

Jamar Johnson db

Sadarius Hutchetson iol

per Williams.

Geno Atkins, 6'1 1/2 293,  32" arms, 9 5/8 hands, 4.85, 1.75, 34 reps, 4.43 SS, 7.33 cone, 33" VT, 9'9 BJ - Combine

Aaron Donald, 6'1 285, 32 5/8" arms, 9 7/8 hands, 4.68, 1.63, 35 reps, 4.39 SS,  7.11 cone, 32" VT, 9'8 BJ - Combine

Milton Williams, 6'3 284, 31 1/2" arms, 4.67, 1.65, 34 reps, 4.33 SS, 6.96 cone, 38" VT, 10'1 BJ - pro day

The Conference USA standout made his presence felt during his final season on campus while showing how his athleticism translates. PFF noted Williams was the only defensive tackle last season with an 85 or higher grade against the run and rushing the passer.

He broke the site's record for the single-highest pass-rush win rate for defensive tackles at 21.4 percent. Williams finished second only to Alabama's Christian Barmore, who many consider the top-rated defensive tackle in the class, with 30 quarterback pressures.

"He uses his hands really well, which makes his size less of a problem to me," an AFC area scout told NFL.com's Lance Zierlein.

Dylan Moses is still on the board if you want a LB

Well he did tear his ACL.  Howie will trade up for him.

i know this will be met with all kinds of negative remarks, but the more i watch Smith he reminds me a bit of Rice. i guess because he is built similar, narrow, lanky, is silky smooth in his routes and catches just about everything thrown his way.

i know the game is different now, and im not saying he can be Jerry Rice, he just reminds me of him a bit.

I think Eagles have done a nice job so far , I probably would have went different direction in rd 2 , but still a nice draft ,

I think that is where most of the argument lies.
