Hopefully his legs don’t fall off

I’ll take guys like Dickerson who work tirelessly to get back on the field over guys like Alshon and D-Jax, who preferred to be on vacation

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I could see another WR like St.Brown with his ball tracking and Sp Teams ability. I know someone mentioned a bigger WR is a need. I agree but not sure how Nick feels since he like a scheme that will create separation. I like Travis as our bigger target. He has great high point and very nice hands. His biggest issue was getting open in the second half of the season with Doug's play calling which I think with Nick he can improve. I also think Nick and his background was brought in to fix Whiteside. If given the right routes to match his strong suit it could work and be a serviceable WR for this team.

Just seems like a huge risk that early in round 2. Looks like a reach to me.

Talk about ELITE quickness

Wallace would be an upgrade over Watkins, Hightower and Ward.  Plus, he tore his ACL so Howie should have him on speed dial.

I like Tylan Wallace but considering we just got our #1 stud, and we have three guys we just drafted last year that I personally feel were victims of bad scheme/coaching and oline play, I can’t see them going WR again before the 6th. There are some projected late round guys with high upside like Terry, Grimes, Vasher, Eagles (awesome jersey lol). R4-5 need to be secondary/LB unless there’s a stud value sitting there.

Dude is a freak.  We went freak heavy so far.

Milton Williams is probably a year away, but if he can use his hands better...whew.

A risk yes, but not a reach. He’s one of the best centers I’ve ever had the privilege of watching. Reports out of NY state he was the Giants target if the Eagles hadn’t grabbed him. Howie raw dogging Gettleman two night in a row.

Williams is an amazing athlete with positional flexibility. We will see him play a lot this year.

Lol and for the people who don't like Dickerson doing cartwheels, here's the Bills pick

Hard to hate that fanbase.  Buncha psychopaths in the best possible way.

I disagree. You’ll see him rotating in often this year.

Don;t see it as a reach at all. Kid has a great work ethic, hes mean on that field and is a leader. Reminds me of a Jon Runyan type of guy. I like the pick for sure and is a need at the same time. ACLs if given the proper time to heal is easily not a issue. Most ACL surgeys again when given the proper time come back even stronger then before the tear. I think we landed a very good player and leader that was needed on this team.

You have to love the fact that he has played in every position on th eline as well.

Anyone have the video of Dickerson trolling the LSU defense after he causes a false start on them?

So you dislike all trade ups?

In general, yes.

There are exceptions

  1. QBs
  2. Players at the end of a tier (ex: Smith in RD1, before there's a drop in talent)
  3. Team has excess picks in later round and can't possibly keep all of them

For an isolated incident in a vacuum? Sure.

If it becomes an annual occurrence? Might be something more to it.

I can pretty much assure you that there are passionate debates between scouts and player personnel people in just about every War Room and in every NFL draft.   I really don't understand why some seem to think it's an issue.  I've been in business/marketing/sales for the majority of my career.  Most people who have worked for large companies, in those types of positions, would tell you that things tend to get "heated" from time to time.

Don't mistake the team aspect of being and NFL franchise for the business side of it.  Business is business and I doubt it's much different in the Eagles front office.  The important part is that they leave the "business side" of it outside, on the curve to prevent it from affecting the team/locker room.  Most players are well aware that this type of stuff goes on because most will tell you that when it comes to contracts, trades, etc...."It's a business".

Like I said yesterday, if Stout likes him then you get him that player.

OK, if he's healthy and ready to go, plug him in at LG.  Mailata and Dickerson could be a nasty left side.

Again, I like the player, I hate the injuries.

Next era OL is starting to take shape.  Dickerson-Seumalo-Driscoll-Mailata-Dillard?

Williams is one of my all-time favorite lottery tickets for the Eagles.  Seems like he has a mean streak on the field and is a soft-spoken character guy off it.  I'd have been happy if he were our 2nd round pick.

He needs to spend time with Graham and Barnett, 2 players completely bereft of explosion or athletic talent (that applies to Graham at this point in his career) who need to rely on every possible nuance of pass rush to be effective.

I want him to be a designated pass rusher all year...one gap pin back and rush DT on some downs, bull rushing DE on others.  And he has the athleticism to be an edge rusher too, just needs to work on the technique.  Worry about the rest later.

He has more than just the physical tools. Smart too.

It happens.  What's unusual is when the media writes an expose about your dysfunction and then it's captured on live video 3 weeks later.  That doesn't happen.

I see Kelce will be passing the locker room goofball torch to Dickerson.  Expect that mentor/mentee relationship to involve some hysterical hazing that would send other players off a ledge.

I've been wanting to push Isaac to being the 6th man for awhile. But this guy had surgery in late December, I can't push him out there this summer in a heated train camp competition at LG. I think you would be asking too much too soon off a serious injury. Take your time with this guy. I love the player but the injury history is real. No point to jeopardize him as he's already a risk.

Can you see them bringing in a WR though? I mean they could and these later round picks are project guys mostly so I guess anything can happen.

Completely 100% agree!  I share your exact philosophy on trade ups.

Trade down has a totally different set of rules.  Generally acceptable when you don’t have a clear preference and are presented with worthwhile value to make a change. But a lot of factors are involved for trade downs.
