I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This really isn't that complicated -- Kaepernick has 0.0% interest in being on an NFL roster. There are two primary reasons for this.

1. He gets more attention by being "blackballed" -- if Kaepernick were to sign somewhere as a backup QB for a reasonable contract (similar to Flacco), it would no doubt cost him money. Now he can parlay his victimhood into endorsement deals, speaking engagements and never ending attention. This is why he didn't jump at opportunities and actively sabotaged them (Broncos, Ravens, NFL workout). His Q score is much higher playing the victim.

2. Why take the risk of sucking -- it's not like he was playing well when the 49ers moved on from him. If he were to come back and be terrible (and years away will do that to even great players), the entire blackball narrative is destroyed. It vindicates all the teams that didn't sign him because there is now evidence that he isn't better than the guys they did sign.

So he will never play in the NFL again because he doesn't want to.

I am definitely left of center politically, yet I cannot fathom actively paying attention to the NFL and having any other opinion than Kaepernick just doesn't want to play.

Tebow is a bottom of the 90-man roster TE. The guy he's "replacing" isn't somebody with a realistic NFL shot.

I'm the same....though I do think back in 2017 he was absolutely black balled. Now, it's morphed into something else altogether, though a previous poster nailed it in that Kap is in a much better situation for himself not playing anywhere.

So we are now ten days past the draft when the UDFAs were signed yet the Eagles on PE.com have yet to announce the signings.  I don’t remember them taking more than ten days in the past.

Last year they announced it on the night of Day 3. No idea what's taken so long.

A "hit job" by their owner makes no sense.  Since all they are doing now is devaluing the return.   I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.

He probably banged a ton of broads.  A few of them felt slighted or treated like meat and one of them got really pissed and started to make noise.  His camp probably tried to silence her because Watson or his buddies might have went a little far.  And then the others started to speak up.  I am sure he doesn't treat women like they should be treated and I am sure some of them are going for the money now.  My issue with him is that there is a ton of these women speaking out about him and the fact that he tried to strongarm the Texans FO into hiring a head coach because of his color of his skin rather than letting the FO do their job.  There is a lot swirling around him.  Maybe he will be humbled with change of pace.  But who knows.

Agree with this take, though I should point out the owner is a moron as well. Just dumb everywhere you look with that franchise.

I haven't seen anything since the season ended that made me feel better about the direction of this team.  Actually, I think we are digging ourselves a deeper hole.  For posters to constantly try and blow sunshine and post hot takes just makes them look bad.  Reminds of moronic Dallas fans really.  And I have no patience for them.

blowing constant negativity so you can ITYS is no better

patience is exactly what's needed. we all have to wait and see what it looks like on the field now.

Before we deem Reagor a failed prospect, can we give him one off season with a mini camp/training camp and a fresh start with a non Pederson coaching staff?  Nah, he is bust.  Cut him and and don't even bother letting him fight for a spot on the roster.  What a bust!

He was in a bad accident , suffered a brain injury , never the same after the accident

It doesn't get dumber than saying, "Reagor showed way more in college than Agholor".

Reagor from scrimmage, 183 touches, 2572 yards, 14.1 yards per play and 24 TD's.

Agholor from scrimmage, 185 touches, 2590 yards, 14.0 yards per play and 20 TD's.

IDENTICAL.

They aren't. Hurts had more yards because he had another start, played an entire half against GB and appeared with some regularity the entire season. Tim Tebow did nothing the entire year outside of his three starts.

The fact remains, no matter how you want to twist it, that one of the worst QBs to ever start in the NFL had similar numbers as a starter in his rookie year as Hurts did.

Anyone still questioning why people are concerned with Hurts have their head in the sand.

1400+ yards vs 900 yards isn’t comparable.  And Tebow played outside of his 3 starts.  You’re simply just twisting stats to make an absurd comparison.

No ish stats aren't everything but they can certainly disprove moronic hot takes like the one you are trying to propagate.   You can't look at those two guys and say that Reagor showed "way more in college".  At some point the production has to mean something.  How did he show "way more"?  I whine about ignorant posters like yourself coming in here and spewing whatever BS to fit your fanboy agenda.  Other than you and his parents I guarantee you NO ONE thought Jalen Reagor showed "WAY MORE IN COLLEGE" than Agholor.  That's is just ignorant.

I say Smith doesn't translate to the NFL as well as his season last year in college could suggest.  I guess you aren't smart enough to know the difference.

Let me guess, you loved Jordan Matthews and JJAW and Pumphrey as well...didn't ya?

Blind Whiner.........LOL!!.  I call it like it is and I have been right a hell of a lot more times than not with my criticisms and predictions and I know others would agree.  Just little fellas like yourself can't handle the truth.  Reagor was a reach and a BAD pick.  He was not a good player last year and his lack of maturity has hurt him.  But you're a fan of his.....we know.  LOL.

I’m sorry but this reminded me of Les grossman in tropic thunder

That's a little over the top.  I never said he was a bust.  I said he was a reach.  I never said we should cut him.  I said he didn't show "way more in college" than Agholor.  It doesn't have to be one or the other.  I would hesitate ever calling him a bust.  It's not his fault he was over-drafted.  I guess it's just me, but I wouldn't consider a guy who was drafted #21 overall a bust.  Especially since he should have gone in the 2nd round.

With that said.  I think with the right offense (motion) he can bring something.  Maybe 750 yards a year and some return ability.  Certainly not worthy of being picked in the 1st round, but not JJAW either.

I know he had some issues with drinking.  Didn't know about the accident.

I think his ceiling is higher than that but I also have much higher expectations.  Between he and Smith, he is the faster/quicker of the two.  I think he could average 850-900 yards and 6-7 TD's a year.  I think his style will compliment Smith's well.  Smith will be the go to, volume guy and he will play more of a Desean Jackson role (hopefully without the injury issues).

We'll see how our new offense goes, but our old offense this would be about average for anyone.

I guess if agholor could have caught the ball a little better though he could have done pretty well here.

I’m thinking more of a Maclin type role when he and DJax were #1  and #2 but I’d be fine with a DJax role as well.  👍

Yup. One of my favorite roles he’s ever played.

Also, Nelson Agholor was pretty much a top 5 receiver in all site rankings, and was talked about as a potential top 15 pick.

Reagor was ranked 10th plus in quite a few rankings, and was primarily discussed as a second round pick.

Reagor was a reach, plain and simple, especially when the best WR in the class was on the board when the Eagles went on the clock.

I just know every year when I try to project stats for offensive players, I am always wayy wayy high.  So that is where I came up with 750

LOL I hear ya.  I guess I am just hoping that his numbers can be similar to what I suggested.  We will know within 4 games what type of guy we got.  He has no excuses now with a year under his belt, a training camp, and a guy across from him who will demand most of the attention.

If he became Maclin, that would be a success assuming Smith amounts to his hype.

Pretty sure the only ones calling Reagor a bust at this point are haters in this blog.  The vast majority of the fan base knows he was always going to be a little "raw” and that his injury set him back.

Literally all of Tebows passing yards, aside from three yards came in the games that he started. Literally. Look it up.

You're the one twisting. You're using an entire season of Hurts against 3 starts for Tebow. For the millionth time: as starters, their numbers are extremely similar. There's no twisting involved or needed, their numbers as starters in their rookie year are extremely similar.

Truth Hurts. Pun intended.
