I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’d get Korkmaz some minutes early tonight. He’s been brutal this year, but if he can get hot he’ll be an asset. Put him in, let him get a few shots to see if he’s in. If not, he gets banished back to the end of the bench. But if he does find his stroke, that’s a big boost.

Agreed. Niang has no business playing in this series. Shake has looked Shaky. At least Korky has the ability to be a spot up shooter and not get totally abused defensively like Niang.

I’d be surprised if the bucks are able to win the series against Boston with middleton out

That sucks. Going from Finals last year to getting on a plane 48 hrs later to play in the Olympics then having a shortened off season is a lot of wear and tear.

Celtics still at plus odds to make it out of the Eastern Conference Finals at +125 and that seems like a good bet.

korkmaz hasn't been  hot for about a year & a half.  my god would he get scorched by the raptors' wings.

I just started watching basketball the last few years, and have now arched more games this year than ever before. When I started watching, the team wasn’t winning as many games but they were a lot of fun to watch and played with a ton of energy and movement. This year, I’ve been happier because they’ve won more but have had less fun watching the games. And the playoffs have not been enjoyable to watch at all with the lack of energy and movement, even for an uninformed noob that doesn’t know jack about the game like me.

I guess this is about the perfect story for a Philadelphia sports team… suck me in as a fan just enough to make me miserable watching them game after game.

yeah....there's a lot more pressure on the team to win this year because of expectations...especially after acquiring harden. and they're playing like there's a lot more pressure on them.  some of them just aren't cut out for meaningful, playoff basketball.

Everyone is getting torched by them. We’re kind of in desperate times right now. I see no harm in giving Kork some run early instead of Shake just to see if he’s found his shot. If not, fine don’t play him anymore.

i guess.  i mean, kork played himself out of the rotation in the regular season...so i would be shocked if he didn't completely suck in a playoff atmosphere....but the entire bench is just garbage, so.....

But at least would score more than Niang's 3 points who also got hunted on the defensive end

the raptors are such a bad matchup for niang.  his chubby guy, old man game doesn't work against all the elite athletes they throw out there. honestly, there aren't any answers on the sixers' bench.

It's up to the coach to adjust after a few games when things aren't working and we have a long long history of Doc never doing that.

If Embiid doesn't get 15 to 20 FT attempts tonight then they didn't work on anything the last few days to put him in a position to be successful.

yeah, glenn sucks & most of us want him gone.  if anything, i expect him to play the starters for even more minutes since the bench guys look shell-shocked.  hell, a couple of the starters do too.

embiid needs to play like an mvp candidate if they're going to win this series.

How can Nick Nurse **** about the fouls after the first few games and get nothing.  Yet Embiid says one thing and gets fined?

That's usually a seniority type deal, Nurse has proven himself and won a championship. Embiid has barely made it out of the 1st round how many times now?  Once, twice

As I said, I’m new to watching basketball and don’t know a ton about the game yet, but I’m trying to learn…. How much of the offensive style is on the coach and how much comes down to the players on the court?  I mean, if the guys on the court are just standing around watching Harden dribble, or if they’re constantly pulling up just inside the 3 pt line and taking of-range jumpers instead of driving to the hoop, how much of that is on them vs the coach?

The substitutions and lineups that are completely ineffective I get being 100% on him, and I get it is on him to get them to play a certain style of ball to an extent, but isn’t there also a point where the players need to execute the game plan and be aggressive?  Where is that dividing line, and how do you determine which side they’re falling on as a fan?

and I realize I’m asking this question in a situation where I have not heard a single person supporting the coach or saying it isn’t his fault, so the general consensus on this team seems pretty clear.

The first couple of times it's on the player(s). When it happens repeatedly for an entire game and the coach doesn't force adjustments, it's on the coach.

May be a Twitter screenshot of 1 person and text that says 'Elon Musk @elonmusk If the Philadelphia 76ers blow a 3-0 playoff series lead for the first time in NBA history I will buy the team and fire Doc Rivers. 1:38 PM. 4/27/22 Twitter for iPhone 24.1K Retweets 5,071 Quote Tweets 193K Likes'

Ehh.  That’s BS.

Well they always talk about that kind of sheet. So that's what I went with lol. Maybe Harden can't get fouls called because of his hammy

Or maybe it’s his poor body language and that he cries for fouls so much.
