Harden can go. Wouldn’t even want him on a one year deal at this point. Hopefully he doesn’t opt in.

Not even sure where they go from here…ideally Rivers, Harden and Harris are gone.  Somehow get Beal and some kind of bench.  Embiid realistically probably only has 1-3 dominant years left so gotta win soon

Doc said he knows what he did to get the team here. When he came here nobody expected this team to be anywhere.

What the hell is he talking about? He inherited an annual 2nd round exit team. Everyone expected this team to contend for a championship for the last few years, including this year. And they underperformed again.

He was the next coach in line to inherit one of the most talented teams in the NBA and underachieve with it. He thinks he has done something special just taking them to the 2nd round. wtf?

It was a little scary to think of giving Butler his max contract at his age. All night I noticed how he looks more lean than I have seen him in years. And he was always ripped. Never out of shape. But its clear that he changed something to take his self care to the next level and extend his effective playing career.

Here we are with slow, out of shape Harden. And injured Embiid watching his good friend Butler send him home.

They call it "coke" in Miami. Does wonders for your stamina.  n energy come game time. It's the Miami way.

I have bad news for sixers fans, there isn’t enough cap space or tradable assets or move that  Morey can make for the Sixers to surpass the Celtics, bucks, suns and warriors. They just don’t have that capability or flexibility. This is why the moves from 2018 to 2021 they needed to be smarter and better FO leadership/ownership. Now you were in a spot where it is really hard to make the move necessary to surpass those teams. It is very unlikely that happens. So you’re more likely gonna wind up being stuck in a purgatory and wasting embiid’s career

The problem is that letting him walk doesn’t give us cap room. If he walks for nothing, we are still over the cap. He’s still better than anyone we can get for the exception. If we can trade him for something… fine. Otherwise we have to bring him back. Not what we want to hear but that’s how it is.

No other teams are touching anyone other than Embiid/Maxey. I meant Harden will find a home but we’re stuck with Tobias.

Toby showed up all playoffs. Rivers and Harden MUST go- start there and work in some other things. But START with Harden and Rivers. If they are here next year, I'm taking a year of 76er watching OFF. No lie.

thats why Simmons needed to go for 2-3 solid players and 1st round picks. Not a washed up super star. Needed depth, and future assets.

A Rivers Ran Through It.

Would you fire pop?

He averaged 11 points over the last three games. And that’s including a little garbage time stat padding tonight. When the game was actually within reach he was Fing terrible.

I’m not sure I care. Half the time he’s a liability with his awful turnovers.

You could go for the star if Tobias Harris was tradable asset to get you 2-3 pieces that were role players/depth. But the problem is everyone knew Tobias Harris is what he is. No one is taking on that contract and giving you anything worthwhile until it becomes an expiring contract or next year at the deadline with 1.5 years left. The trade they should’ve made was for haliburton and hield for Simmons. Then hoped this offseason you could move Harris or move him at the deadline next year 1.5 years left on the contract hoping some team would want his expiring contract.

** i do believe the kings would do Simmons for haliburton and hield+. I don’t believe the rumor they’d have done harris and Simmons even if we took Barnes back.

Seriously....... F this guy......

He's passed Chip Kelly on my list of most smug and arrogant coaches in Philly history

I mean the alternative is Shake starting in his place. Not really an improvement.

This Harden press conference is awkward. Doc definitely gone and Harden definitely back.

Like i said that offseason. Had one of the assistant coaches on the sixer who has ties to Arizona tell me the sixers refused to give him a 5 year max. otherwise butler was back in Philly if they did. They didn’t want too and chose Ben over him.

yep. I wanted the kings trade. Even the Detroit package was pretty damn good.

Harden was just asked about opting in, and 47 million dollars. Was directly asked if he is willing to take less to help the team build. He said whatever it takes to help this team get better.

So... maybe there actually is a chance. We will see.

I really liked that Detroit package.
