First quarter by Giannis

10 points 8 rebounds 6 assists

Just wow

Felt like as the series got to game 4 and onward the loss of middleton began really catching up to the bucks. Game 4 they needed middleton on the floor to help close out that 4th quarter. That’s the game that if they win i think Milwaukee closes that series out. They managed to win game 5 which felt like it was more of a Celtics letdown considering they were in control for most of that game. even the last 90 seconds they were up 6. Game 6 and 7 Boston was just the better team than Milwaukee without Middleton. Giannis was great. Holiday was good. Lopez played better today than the first 6 games of the series where he was a -55. But really besides Portis no one else on the bucks showed up today.

sucks for the bucks that middleton had the MCL. Cause i still think they are the best team in the east with him. I tend to think Boston beats Miami in 6

I largely agree except for Danny Green. Hate to see his career end that way but he’s done.

I didnt even read their article. I was more asking in here for the discussion, what do people think.

I agree with you. Danny is done. if hes ready in about 9 months, thats like February. The impact of adding a Danny Green in February is not greater than the impact of replacing him and having a shooter in the lineup for all those months prior.

As far as our other free agents, Id let them all go except for Bassey and Joe. Continue trying to devlop those guys. The rest of the guys who were in the rotation can go. Consider this:

Bring Seth and Drummond back. Give them a no trade clause this time so you cant just ship them out to a sucky situation again. Let guys like , Shake, Milsap, Jordan, and Reed go.

My theory is that embiid put out there he preferred to play with beal a couple days before the harden trade cause it was telling the front office and sixers ownership he wanted beal over harden just like he wanted butler over Simmons that offseason. I think the butler comments after the game were more of him airing out that he wanted him back and they didn’t listen and look what happened.

Embiid wanted Beal but then he got season ending surgery.

I guess he's letting it out there hoping they make the move this summer rather than maxing Harden.

I think he’s letting it out there because if they don’t do what he wants to make him happy and just do what they want (which is extend harden to a bad contract) he’s likely asking out.

@DaEagles4Life now could see the suns potentially trading Ayton in a sign and trade after that epic collapse and what was said in the presser when he only played 17 mins.

Lol doesn’t know how to spell quiet. So i guess he quit spelling too

Late February who had not one of the Suns/Grizz/Bucks/Nets/Sixers making the Conference Finals?

And now we gotta hear about "Heat Culture" vs "Celtics Lore" for the next two weeks.   🤮

Suns and bucks are the biggest surprises. But bucks lost middleton. I think that loss began really showing up games 4-7. They won game 5 but for most of the last 2 games the Celtics really were much better. The bucks missed middleton in game 4 where they couldn’t close it out. Frankly game 5 the Celtics were better outside of the 4th quarter. There’s a case to be made the last 3 games of the series the Celtics were significantly better outside of 4th quarter game 5.

The suns just collapsed. CP3 looks like he fell off a cliff the last 4 games of the series. Similar to harden. And i think their cockiness caught up to them. Booker and the suns thought they could just destroy the mavs at home in game 7 and it caught up. Hats off to luka kid played out if his mind and got help

Well in fairness to Paul he has also been in the league 5 more years than Harden. At least his falling off a cliff was more expected. I don't think anyone saw this resurgence Paul had since leaving the Rockets

Problem is Paul has also had times in his career where he’s gotten hurt in the postseason. It hurts his legacy cause he likely has more success if it didn’t happen. To be honest the rockets were up 3-2 over the warriors when he got hurt. Also won 3 of 4 games after game 1. I still think they likely would’ve won that series with him and harden if he doesn’t get hurt.

I'm rooting for Luka and that about it. Think the Mavs have the wings to slow down the Warriors and honestly Warriors did not look great vs the Grizzlies

Here is my frustration with Embiid…and I am NOT one of those people that has ever complained about what he has said or his body language (only his injuries).

He just said "I don’t know what else I have to do” about the MVP race.  And in a way, he was right. However, going on at the same time as that comment and mvp frustration, Embiid was, at absolute best, the 4th most valuable player in the Eastern conference playoffs (not even accounting for the whole nba).

I wouldn’t dare call him a choker…this is more injury and wear/tear related for a huge big man…but it’s a huge problem for a team that is built around a superstar in a lopsided fashion without ideal surrounding talent… when that superstar is consistently a shell of himself in the playoffs.

Bill Marks at ESPN is already saying LaVine is an option.

Tbh i like both beal and Lavine. I’d take Lavine over beal. I just think he gives you some size at 6’6, athleticism and can shoot. The sixers don’t have that. The issue with maxey, harden and beal is maxey is forced to come off the bench due to beal and harden starting backcourt. Which means you still have to find 2 more starters with green being done and Harris being gone at that point. Not able to start all 3 of those guys together due to severely lack of size with beal and maxey. We’d actually get worse at rebounding. Not that Lavine is a great rebounder or anything but lack of size also will hurt the sixers defensively. Lavine was bad defensively this year but most of his career he’s been competent. Some years he’s actually been good like 2019-20 and 17-18 where he was a 110 and 111 defensive rating respectively. Actually think not having to be the guy on offense like those bulls teams so he can conserve some energy and with embiid his defensive ability might improve. With Lavine you can start harden, maxey, Lavine, find a stretch 4 that is also a decent rebounder and embiid.

Yeah… I’d love to have Beal, but I think it would make more sense if Harden wasn’t here. If Harden is a Sixer, which is pretty much a guarantee IMO, then Lavine would be the better option in terms of fit.

Who would want that Harris contract and can Sixers even give up picks to help unload it.

Then is your LaVine your main wing? Defensively that isn't great

This isn't realistic, at all, but think you have to get Tobias attached to Ayton or Rudy Gobert trade potential. Can't trade him straight up for another team

I told my friend who’s a suns fan to get prepared for potentially a bunch of rumors with Simmons. I heard from one of the Arizona coaches that was a player development coach with the suns prior to coming to Arizona that they’d like to get a defender that can guard guys like luka (wasn’t specifically naming luka  but just no. 1 scoring options for their opponents). they have bridges but they rather him be the secondary defender on opposing teams secondary scorers. not the primary defender on a guy like luka, Steph or ja whom they are going to run into going forward. Plus they could use Simmons as their 5 instead of ayton who at times can be a great rebounder and other times shies away.  western conference has kat, ad and joker. Curious to see how he would hold up against those 3. Also allows them to not play Paul as much during the regular season as they can put the ball in Simmons, Booker and payne’s hands more to keep him fresh. I do think it might be weird between Simmons and Booker given the whole Kendall Jenner thing

the nets perspective it makes sense. They need a big. I actually think ayton if used properly could be better than what he’s shown with the suns. He’s got a nice midrange game and i think eventually could extend it a little more. I think the issue with ayton might be more does he want to be 3rd option once again. I know his people believe he should get more touches and shots already. But he’s a good fit for what the nets could use and would be good value considering who the hell knows with Simmons. I’m guessing nets could likely pry someone like Saric or shamet in that deal as well depending on what they give up. Which would help the nets depth.

Lavine is a eh defender. He’s had years where he was actually good. 2017-18 he was a 111 rating. And 2019-20 he was a 110. I would’ve thought with derozan and having to exert less energy on offense that he’d improve defensively last year. He got worse. Although i do think with harden, maxey and embiid so he doesn’t have to exert as much on the offensive end and having embiid defensively he could be better here.

Where do you see as potential destinations for Tobias? I honestly can't find a spot
