**Official Philadelphia 76ers Thread 2022/2023 Regular Season*

Sixers need to target kids that can play this year and add value.

Ochai Agbaji Kansas Wing

Tari Eason LSU Forward

EJ Lidell Ohio St. Wing

I really like Malaki Branham and think he will be a Middleton type of player. Not uber athletic, but can get to his spots, has a good consistence release, understands pace a bit already, and good mid range game.

I guess,  on some podcast, harden said he had been fatigued the past few years and took an offensive hiatus the past 2 years.  Says next season is the resurgence.

We will see.  Seems doubtful.

The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly informing teams that Tyrese Maxey is "UNTOUCHABLE” this offseason. (per Sports Illustrated) 👏🏀

The other day on one of the Fanatic shows they went through a list of top 20 players with the scenario of Tobi and Maxey for ____.  And to my surprise there was only a handful of players in which I said Yes, do the deal combined with it would make sense with Embiid.  ie, Yes I'd do it for Jokic but that doesn't work with Embiid so I ultimately say NO.  However, Luka is a yes and yes.   KD is a yes and yes, etc.

Not new but just wondering.... as a GM its a fine line to try to walk between making your super max guy happy and bringing in his guys, or, doing what actually makes sense for the team. Embiid's preference likely stems from their relationship as Hanlen clients, working out in the same place in the summers. And maybe it would have made sense pre-Harden. But, can/should they really still add Beal? Kind of want to for Embiid. But also feel like it can become a complete mess.

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'Phila 21 [BRADLEY BEAL'S] WHO EMBIID WANTED IN FEBRUARY, NOBODY BELIEVED ME BEAL GOT HURT, AND EMBIID BEGRUDGINGLY ACCEPTED THE HARDEN TRADE. Bill Simmons on the James Harden trade via The Bill Simmons Podcast heavy on sixers'

Two years in a row that Embiid has been critical of his teammates but not exactly lit it up in those big games as well. Could be nothing or could cause a bit of friction.

This was 11 months ago.  He also showed signs of this our first few games but that doesn't fit the narrative.  In this video, you can see he isn't running in quicksand.  I presume his dribbling was terrible with us because his brain was processing it faster than his feet/legs could move.  If he tried the dunk around the 1:50 mark right now, he would probably air ball.  Houston Harden is dead.  This one could still be extremely valuable with the rise of Maxey and a good off-season.  The cherry on top would be that Doc is gone.  I might be eating these words again next year but I honestly feel this way.  When I am wrong, I will admit it.  I am wrong a lot 🤣

I’d be okay with Beal/Embiid, but Harden with them would be a disaster.  A top heavy  roster is not going to win a title

The Los Angeles Lakers have taken their time in replacing Frank Vogel as their head coach. It has been more than a month since Vogel was fired, but the Lakers still haven't settled on a coach. Recent reports have suggested that three finalists (Darvin Ham, Terry Stotts and Kenny Atkinson) have emerged for the job, but according to Marc Stein, the field is still a bit wider than that. Stein reported that the pool of viable candidates is "still wider" than just that trio, and that assistant coaches Charles Lee and Adrian Griffin would receive renewed consideration.

One name the Lakers reportedly haven't given up on? Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers. According to Stein, the Lakers "have not completely abandoned hope" that Rivers could unexpectedly become available, but nothing the 76ers have done suggests that is going to happen.

I’m pretty convinced this all comes down to money with Glenn after listening to neubeck, bodner and the guys on Sirius discuss it. sixers ownership doesnt want to be stuck paying Glenn the $24 mil he’s owed for the next 3 years if they fire him along with having to pay the next coach. which is likely D’antoni who’s going to make similar money.

We'll hold on to Doc, Sam Cassell will leave and go on to coach a team to the Confernence Finals like Monty Williams and Ime Udoka

Yeah… I would say if it’s just the money, they could encourage him to resign to leave for LA by just making the job less desirable. Like tell him he’s staying on as coach, but Morey will have a lot more say in who actually plays in the games. Basically, let it known that he’ll be micro-manager the way Doug Pederson was.

However, not sure he’d opt to leave for LA because of that, considering he’ll just be a figure-head there while Lebron plays GM and coach.

Maybe if we leak that we’re actively trying to trade Doc, he’ll get butthurt and claim mental health issues and refuse to report and we can eventually get rid of him sometime next season.

Morey will ask for a package of Popovich, Nurse, and Spoelstra.

In the end we will settle for a washed up DAntoni.

Washington Wizards star guard Bradley Beal has a busy summer ahead of him. Beal has a third child on the way, has been doing work in his community and he's recovering from surgery on his left wrist.

Oh, and Beal is one of the best free agents available this offseason. But Beal confirmed reports from March that he plans on re-signing with the Wizards.

"This injury also gave me a mental break, a time to evaluate life, and I haven’t changed my mind-set,” Beal said. "I enjoy being in D.C.; I enjoy being on this team.”

Beal said the rehab on his left, non-shooting, wrist is going well. He had his cast removed last month and has spent most of May focused on regaining range of motion.

"Surgery was good; recovery went well," Beal said. "Had no issues.”

Good, I prefer Lavine or a combo of a few players than Beal. We need 3 point shooters.

lavine is a perfect fit, imo. super-athletic wing & shoots the three. morey should totally trade tobi & tisse to chicago for him.

Maybe Morey shifts focus to LaVine or Mitchell now.

Or somehow gets us a combo F that we actually need.

NBA needs to fix this every other day game for Conference Finals. Celtics and Heat are absolutely beat up and the product on the floor is suffering.

Or Magic go full dumb and want Harden.

Clearly needs to be on the sixers and reunited with harden lmao… also can’t believe he doesn’t think Simmons isn’t a championship piece. Lol

And so it begins
