The difference is, none of those places service 10,000-20,000 people in a 3 hour period.

neither does any single concession stand in the stadium. At 25% capacity the eagles stadium has about 300 people in a section and theres 1-3 concession stands near every section.

Personally, Id prefer to see them deliver food to the seats so all the fans stay put. But even the at seat ordering cuts down gathering in lines at the stands quite a bit.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Because if Sanders goes down, you have a situation similar to 2018 where Josh Adams was your lead back.

Are you okay with McCoy being that lead back? If the rookies show something, why not stick with 1 or 2 of them? Cheaper, and you'll probably get more of them than you would these vet RBs.

He wouldn't be my first choice.

There are quite a few concession stands in the stadium.  I don't have the exact number, but I'd be willing to bet that its about 2 dozen or more.   And with the concourses basically closed, they can put the orders on tables outside the concessions... with big numbers on them, big enough that even drunk Eagles fans can find them with no trouble.  Its not as big an undertaking as you might think.  And... they have months to figure out how they want to organize the process and make it happen.

I keep seeing people say 15-25k is still a lot of people. Those who say that arent considering the scale of a football stadium.

Caplan said they aren’t looking to spend any more than the vet minimum on a RB. Really opening up that check book this spring to help Wentz out! Between a vet minimum RB and Marquise Goodwin, that’s just an embarrassment of riches and showing their willingness to spend to help out their QB.

Honestly, I'm intrigued by the UDFA at RB

Enough with your homophobia already. That’s so junior high.

I’d say there’s about two dozen per level. They are everywhere. Now you obviously don’t have to open up every single one, but you can’t also just leave it sitting on a table with a number. There’s going to be drunk Eagles fans, which means there will be a holes. And probably the biggest seller, beer, would be impossible to do without some sort of control. Now like you said, they have months to figure it out. But in a year they would already be using millions in revenue from decreased attendance, I doubt they would dump money into anything innovative. If it’s safe enough to have 20k I imagine they would just use the logic it’s safe enough to do business as usual with concessions and trust people to stand far away enough from strangers.

I also tend to think the Steelers selling only 50% of their tickets is less to do with potential social distancing and more to do with figuring out who can or can’t attend if the games can be played at reduced capacity.

I never said that it would just be sitting there.  But, that it would be visible to them, so that they go to the right table.  There would have to be people there to check the receipts or cell phones or whatever.

My bad, I thought you were angling for contactless pickup

I was thinking more along the line of a board with lit up numbers indicating what orders are ready and at that table... showing your phone or having it read by a machine and having the food moved up to the customer.

What FA RBs are left?

A guy I like is Isaiah Crowell but he popped his Achilles (I think) early last season so he’d need a physical.

Crowell would be a good addition I think. He wouldn't cost much and I think as a #2 or 3 he'd be a decent enough option.

He claims he isn't something, but time and time again just can't help himself in exposing it. Hate mongers can't help themselves. Ten bucks says he cries after my post and claims he's going to report me.

Just saw Hyde signed with Seattle. Disappointed the Eagles didn't get him. I thought he'd be the perfect compliment to Sanders and Scott. I love Sanders but I'm not crazy about the idea of giving him 20 plus touches a game consistently. We need him to be fresh and healthy in December/January. Really nothing else out there besides Freeman and Shady and with Freeman still looking for decent money, well......

Yeah I think the Eagles have missed a trick here. Plus if Sanders gets hurt, we will really struggle.

Yep, if Sanders were to miss any significant time they would be screwed. I like Scott but he's a third down/change of pace back.

There will still be a few veteran RB who will be roster cuts prior to the season and become available.  RB is a position that doesn’t require a steep learning curve for a player that’s been in the league a few years.

Hyde would have been the best choice of the 3 FAs, but he is off the market now per your post.  Don't think Freeman will fit in the role and money asked.  Shady is a possibility, but his age would limit his 2nd tenure to 1-2 seasons.

More like 1-2 games

Or 13 like he played last year.

Yet was inactive for the most important games.

Shady would at best be the #3 back and really adds nothing to the table this team doesn’t already have. Makes little sense to add him.

If the Eagles add another back it needs to be a north/south bruiser.

I don't think you're not right.
