I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Yes. Would you prefer a bad player with upside at corner or a bad player with upside at guard given our current roster?

I wouldn't make the trade.  I'd prefer the corner.

But we have a better track record developing OL than DB with our coaching...so if they've given up on Jones (not saying they have), I wouldn't turn down a bad player with upside at guard.

Read the actual medical article they are citing and then look at their conclusions.  I'd say they are reaching.

Then look at their other source:

https://www.cmaj.ca/content/186/11/E407  This is basically a brochure for Canadian healthcare.

Another source they used:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/10/11/trumps-claim-about-canadians-traveling-to-the-united-states-for-medical-care/

Washington Post, ultra liberal, and article bashing Trumps lies (and there are many)...but their own source acknowledges a huge disparity in the wait time for specialized procedures.  And it also acknowledges that many Canadians ARE crossing the border for high end procedures....but NOT for primary care...which is the entire crux of the argument.

Digging through the sources shows just how misleading the interpretation by this Kaiser article really is.

Yeah... I think what we need here is better primary care.

zdogg has interesting ideas for healthcare 3.0 that focuses a lot on primary care. Have you ever watched those videos?

Biden is a compromise candidate that Democrats settled on figuring if the election is close guys like you and greend would vote for him, salt of the earth. I’d say they miscalculated and should have gone for the best Democratic candidate, compromise be damned

Id vote for Trump over Biden easily 100/100 if not for the issue of student loans. I hope Biden's vice president is really qualified since he is losing his mind. And in 4 years after my largest debt is cancelled, Ill vote for someone else.

I may still vote for Trump regardless.

If they do any kind of student debt forgiveness between now and the election, my decision to vote for Trump again will be much easier.

I watch him all the time.  He believes what he says, is highly engaging, speaks with conviction, but sometimes speaks with a little too much certainty.  But he's still very good.

I think our primary care is good...but it's expensive.  Our preventative care, which is sort of a part of primary care, I guess, is what needs a lot of work.

Primary care docs also don't have it very good here.  Med schools discourage their grads from going into it.  It doesn't pay enough to wipe clean the debt from college & med school.

The autonomous zone?

Interestingly enough in the case of wide spread anarchy people tend to form communal or social groups. Strength in numbers and all that, in theory anarchy eventually leads to a more socialist society.

Having said that while im in favor of de funding police i also realize de fund is an ineffective scare word that takes away from the real intent to de criminalize the police and or reallocate those funds to programs that will benefit society not kill them.

De funding police Yes please, abolishing Police, No thanks, while im a fan of many socialist ideas i dont think anarchy is the best way to get there😉

I think "defunding" the police is not what we should be doing.  We need police accountability and to have them re-think policing.  I do think police purchases of military equipment need to stop.  This money should be spent on training.  They need to work on de-escalating primarily.  I also think broken window enforcement policies don't do anything other than burden the system and target poorer communities.

I also think more funding needs to go to early intervention for kids.  I mean really programs like Head Start provide significant long-term benefits in schools.  Make those programs mandatory or more readily available.  Spending money on the front end of some of these issues leads to more productive citizens.

What do you view as his signature accomplishments?  All the debt relief plans have income caps. Meaningless for me, and I imagine, for you.

Maybe I'm nuts but to me "building a wall" is to keep out illegals, not everyone. At least in my book if you want to come here and go through the effort to become a productive citizen, and you don't have a criminal or terrorist background, you are welcome here no matter what country you are from.

The problem is that most (overwhelming majority) illegals in this country didn't come across the southern border. But most of the brown illegals did. "The Wall" is racist. Some other facts are that these "brown" illegals are mostly doing work that Americans don't want while contributing about 7 billion a year into Social Security and spending billions on goods and services which helps the economy. We don't need a wall - we need more judges to process immigration claims faster.

Maybe it varies by area, but I think primary care is poor. In my personal experience my PCP's office sucks. Though I love the doctor, and his son the PA-C, the office is a handicap. Dr cant care for his patient as well when he isnt getting messages, things arent being scheduled appropriately, messages arent getting back to the patient, etc.

However the other angle I experience primary care from is as another healthcare professional seeing patients referred to ortho. Often its infuriating. Sometimes we get annoyed seeing what little (or nothing) was done before a referral was made. Other times we read the PCP note and see inappropriate treatments and think, well... maybes its better that some of these PCPs arent trying things before they send. Its sort if a catch-22 where they try, and do wrong, or they try nothing and automatically send to a more expensive specialist. OFTEN times, they refer to the wrong specialist which is really.... I dont know... its hard to think they dont have even the most basic understanding of what different specialties do.

There are some who are good. But working an a specialty and receiving tons of inappropriate referrals, or mis-managed cases that could have had better outcomes with timely proper treatment is frustrating.

Then theres the issue of so many people not even having a PCP.

And also yes, as you said the issue of preventive care which is part of primary care.

There is a lot to be fixed.

And its not to blame or bring down those primary care providers because I can imagine thats a horrible place to practice. And for them the medicalization of socioeconomic issues has got to be frustrating.

My family got the full stimulus check amount. We didnt partake in any of the mortgage or student loan forbearance.

I noticed more in my check with the Trump tax cut, but we still got a good return at tax time so that worked out very well for us.

In Biden's student loan cancellation program he talks about, Id benefit. I think all of my student loan debt would be cancelled. I havent seen income caps on that.

Student debt forgiveness is tricky.  In a way, it's like immigration.  I like both.  Everyone should like both.

But you can't have unchecked immigration and robust social welfare systems.

Likewise, if you are going to forgive student debt, then you need to limit access to college in the first place.  Student debt is actually a huge incentive.  It pushes you to excel in college/grad school, obtain a skill, and leverage it into a high-paying job to pay off the debt.

If you want to drink and party through 4 years of a 3rd rate school to major in philosophy or art history, that's on you and your parents.  Don't demand that politicians and the tax payer fix your debt.  It would be political suicide to say this, but we really don't need MORE people going to college to enter the economy with jobs that don't require it.  It's a huge inefficiency, really a racket.

Obviously, @HazletonEagle, you have a specific and essential skill.  It's very challenging to separate that.

Corner for sure.

However, if Stoutland wants Pocic, I'm in. No Eagles defensive coach has earned the benefit of doubt on DB evaluation.

It’s true. Most illegals come here in a plane and overstay their visas, but the focus is on a wall? Just another Dallas country I suppose.

Or we could simply stop counting the illegal immigrants, and we’d have less of them.

edit: good filter 😂

The wall itself, no. The reasoning behind it, yes.

I put the wall in quotes because I was speaking towards the concept of - or the reason for focusing on a wall instead of a real immigration plan - correct - a wall is not racist but "the wall" is.
