This Flores lawsuit is huge. There are the racial aspects which are important. Then there are the tanking allegations. We obviously know FL and No Mas agree with tanking. But it really hurts the integrity of the game. Many were upset with us just for tanking only the final game.

The massive part that seems to be flying under the radar is: the owner was offering under the table money. Said he was offered 100,000 per loss. This area is really sketchy. Coaches aren’t a part of the salary cap. But it gives the feel that owners routinely use money under wraps to get their way. Does anyone think they won’t do it with players also? Use of the owners private jet, homes….who all knows what benefits their business companies can offer.

If he was paid to throw games it should be pretty easy to prove.

It's easy to make allegations

There is a witness that heard it

That’s why the NBA changed up their draft procedure. NFL will need to do the same.

I don't think the NFL will change anything... the NBA can have drafts where one pick can change everything,  one player in football doesn't have the same effect.   In this particular situation the Dolphins picked 5th after allegedly " tanking " ...hardly the same as a team in the NBA tanking for the 1st pick.

You'd think assistant coaches and at least some players would be in on it

Someone is gonna come clean

The Dolphins won their last 2 games.... and 3 our of their last 5 in 2019... including my trip down to watch them Thanksgiving weekend.

So the result was clearly NOT tanking. The integrity of the games and the results will be tough to prove in this situation.

I believe in this case, even if they league believes Flores, the owner and team may get a penalty, IDK that it will force the NFL to go to a lottery system though.

Yeah... winning 3 of the last 5 including the last 2 games.... the execution sure was poor if they were trying to lose.   Including the trick play they ran against the Eagles.

The problem you have with " tanking" in football is that players don't want to put bad film out there.   Players need to give effort to avoid injury.  And it's a sport where backups play the most due to actual injuries.    So it's a lot different than tanking basketball games.

Now, if all QBs are readiNg D perfectly how could a guy get hired with this logic as the new DC in Baltimore?

So here we are.    Which is the big picture.   Since the inception of football team have tried to confuse their opponents.

We have a QB entering his 3rd year in the NFL...  after his rookie deal expires he will be up for next contract.   The QB position will be paying 40 plus mill if not more to starting QBs entering their 2nd contract... QBs that are top half of the league.

The flip side, at some point the excuse of " he can't read defenses because he is young"  that goes down the toilet as the time to ask for a new contract comes along.

Basically something has got to give. Either the QB will show he is worthy of big $ and get paid as such... or the team will move on.

It will be difficult for a QB showing zero signs of being able to do the 2 paramount skills of the QB position, read and throw...  to develop this in a year.  Especially when his running ability was his meal ticket.  That running ability leads him to not stay and in the pocket and develop those 2 skills.

Not to mention that there are only 5 players on a BB court as opposed to 11 on a football field for offense and another 11 for defense...

Rumor is ARod just started building a house outside Nashville. That he might be looking at the Titans. Would make Tannehill available if they don’t swap.

Rodgers to the Titans makes a lot of sense. They've got a really really good defense and a stud RB so as Rodgers gets older he can lean on that run game more.

Pedey taking on the challenge that is Jax

Dougie becoming the Jags new HC will be interesting to see the difference of Doug in Jacksonville will likely control over his staff and decisions can Doug here

It’s shame how we did Doug think he was a pretty good coach but with how Laurie and Howie treated him they seemed to learned they can’t be that way and let Siri just coach

Jacksonville had a ton of appeal ton of cap, high draft pick and a QB that basically everyone wanted. A meh rookie season with a terrible coach isn’t going to change that opinion on Lawrence yet

If I was the Jags I would try very hard to trade down out of the #1 overall pick… Goal should be protect Lawrence they need OL help but not sure there is an OL really worth #1.

If the Jags could somehow get two first rounders gets an OL and a WR would be huge.

IT happens every year at the end of the season. Teams jockeying for the Top draft picks. You hear it every year. There are so many top level players. Whether it be 5 or 7 that is where the lower level teams try to get.... For anyone to think it doesn't is ignorance....

Only reason is Byron Leftwich turned the job down. Says he would not work with Jacksonvilles current GM. That says allot. Not feeling real comfortable for Doug......

Regardless of what they did. Leftwich did not want to work with him for some reason.... I am just relaying what was reported... Don't shoot the messenger!  lol

It’s their ownership and GM that are a nightmare. Hopefully that gets worked out. Coaches walked away from that job like they did this one.

Pass rushers is hard to bail on

Baalke built legit contenders in SF… as for pass rushers sure hard to pass on but good edge class protecting the QB far more important

Think Doug would offer Duce a OC opportunity??? Duce wants to become a HC that won’t happen until he becomes a coordinator

No way the Eagles pass on him should he be there at 16.

I’d like Gardner but to say the Eagles and Howie wouldn’t pass on him seems like a stretch…. we shouldn’t but definitely would not shock me if we did
