Aren't alot of those option plays CALLED for Allen? He clearly looks to pass first in my view. The great trait he has is his respected arm strength that pulls defenses,so when evreyone heads deep there is plenty of room to take off. He only needs to beat a LB

I really do not know how many are called to be honest. I know he runs allot though and sometimes gets hit. He is a big man though.

Josh said to the entire team 'Fellas don't worry about the QB situation, I can turn a HS QB into an All Pro,'" Polumbus wrote on Twitter.

This was Josh McDaniels speaking to the whole team he took the job in Denver and traded away their QB. This was right after he had Cassell succeed in New England with Brady out. Denver everybody reports, even he acknowledges, was terrible. He just was coaching  Jones. Who looked to completely drop off this season. McDaniels ceiling is OC in my mind. He’s really very smart X and O guy. But clueless with people skills. The Denver speech to the team reeks of massive overconfidence and arrogance. Far from humble. He’s taken a Raiders team I could make the argument is more talented than us and gone belly up already. Hasn’t won a game. I find it interesting just how many traits are important to be a great HC and leader. Everybody agrees on his brilliance offensively. Clearly missing many key traits you must have for the job though. Never a fan of Bellicheat or him…so I enjoy watching the dumpster fire.

He screwed us also. If I remember correctly he got the Indy HC job….then backed out at the last minute. They stole Reich from us as a backup plan. We lost our QB coach already. So felt like losing both really hurt. Fact all the jobs were filled felt like we survived it…then McDaniels backed out and Reich gone. I’m not quite as high as sone here seemed to be. I think Reich ceiling is OC also. We had him in the perfect spot. He really hasn’t done anything with a very talented Indy team.

He always had a huge arm. The accuracy was terrible early on for him. Still I’d say it’s his weakness of inconsistent. Diggs made the huge difference in my mind. Great trade for them. His long ball potential stretches defenses. I think he takes advantage of man coverage running a bunch though. If you Man Up your back is turned to the QB.

That’s something every DC has to consider facing Hurts. If you Man coverage you have to designate a Spy on Hurts. Because all your defenders turning their backs to Hurts and he’ll gut you. Not just picking up three yards. Hurts picks up twenty. Part of the whole package that Hurts brings to give DCs nightmares already. Just so multiple. Not kind of decent Jack-of-all-trades….all options are lethal!

Tried to watch Kurt Warner breakdown of Trevor Lawrence…but noooo….gotta buy NFL+ to see it. Greedy ****! That kind of stuff pushes me to go to other sites. ESPN ticked me off with that. Gotta get four different ESPN packages and stuff. Just crap. Venting over….carry on

Reich called 2017 an All Time playcalling performance by Pederson. An aspect nobody really acknowledges. Great insight by Reich. Think we all recognized the ballsy fourth down going for it calls. But he really was on fire playcalling. Think Pedey is fantastic at it. He’s great at not having tells and tendencies. Really studied under AR who understands so much.Realizes everybody is studying you. Every formation can be multiple. Don’t get predictable. Think Pedey actually excels more than AR being unpredictable.

Team chemistry, hunger and playcalling were incredible with that team. This I argue was the actual keys to our Super Season. We were very talented. But had key injuries to overcome.

Avonte Maddox and Boston Scott out. Tough blows of the complimentary players. Think McPherson does slot? Maybe combo him and Ceedy Deuce our slot corner converted to S. Josiah Scott was supposedly here for slot specialty, right? Think it will be interesting to see how Gannon views things in the slot after Maddox. Give us a look at how he views these depth DBs.

I believe McDanielsthinks he’s the greatest. He did make Cassel look great. Even made Mac Jones look serviceable. Who gets credit for Brady? Sure he deserves some. I’m not a fan of McDaniels. He knows his football. But think of him as an egomaniac.

Yep thats what I said(if you look back) and why he finds lots of daylight if he decides to run, usually noone within 10 yards of him once he gets to level 2

Until he gets his head slammed into the ground or gets his ankles busted up by 350 pound lineman landing on them

You can hate him and I understand why we had to let him go but Tartt LOVES to hit and a guy I would have liked to keep around to use in special circumstances, but not enough "special" circumstances to warrant  keeping him

You mean when Foles called the Philly Special play? Yeah great job by Ped(lol) Not buying it. So how many other plays that weren't mic'd up were suggested by others?

Saw that. Was agreeing with you but adding on that running QBs eat Man coverage alive with the DBs backs turned.

This team far and away more talented,we just want a QB who leads us not into temptation, bbt delivers us from evil

Are you referring to every player playing that game called football?

well, always easy to run when noone is aware you are. I would prefer a pop screen on those plays to keep my QB from taking hits. usually there is RB in the backfield when they take off to help block. Scott is out? O

Yes Hurts is human like all the others. All that "lethal" you speak of just went down the drain. How "lethal" is Tua right now/

I'm with ya

I quit watching ESPN years ago when they went political and got greedy.

I even don't go to their web site except as a last resort.

Tartt just wasn’t anything special. I wanted to release him. Didn’t seem like he was thriving here either. But why go with a vet that has shown his limited ceiling when you could go with any number of young unproven players that you actually have potential to be something more? Just don’t see Tartt as above average. So I roll out three young guys to battle. Give the best one a shot and develop him. Shouldn’t be much of a dropoff from Tartt anyway….but you create a future and hopefully an eventual upgrade. We don’t play the same D as Santa Clara Niners. All reports were Tartt was topping out at third string…before Ceedy Deuce was added via trade.

See? You heap praises on Ped for "calling the play" yet the guy who got us into position win a SB was crap because he executed said plays. And say what you want Wentz was balling until he got hurt multiple times. Some guys never DO return to 100% and or they change their play style to protect themselves and never ball out again. So there are alot of factors you overlook at times. But now we have seen Wentz fail in Indy and fail with the wuss,so he is not the same caliber player we had. I suspect he ends up as a BU very soon
