NFL's highest paid tight ends (average salary per year):

  • 1. 49ers TE George Kittle: $15 million
  • 2.  Chiefs TE Travis Kelce: $14.3 million
  • 3. Patriots TE Jonnu Smith: $12.5 million
  • 3. Patriots TE Hunter Henry: $12.5 million
  • 5. Browns TE Austin Hooper: $10.5 million
  • 6. Eagles TE Zach Ertz: $8.5 million
  • 7. Falcons TE Kyle Pitts: $8.2 million
  • 8. Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski: $8 million
  • 8. Bears TE Jimmy Graham: $8 million
  • 10. Raiders TE Darren Waller: $7.5 million

Depends what Goedert's agent is asking for.  Judging by the list above he's likely looking for Smith/Henry money at @ $12.5M AAV.  His production fits right in between those two; same age range and both those guys just signed.

At that price he's got to be the #1 target in the offense along with Devonta Smith.  Do the Eagles see him as that type of player?  Does Nick's offense ideally feature the WR group, or can a TE be a #1 or 2 target?

I  don't know why he would need to be the number 1 target at that price.  I mean Jarvis Landry is making more than Kittle and he's not even the highest paid WR on his team.  I think it's simply Goedert's value over average in the context of the offense.  If he comes out and has a 1,000 yard season and looks like a dominant TE, then pay him.  He's not easily replaced. If he looks like he's looked which is a player that sometimes flashes, then there's no reason to pay him big money.  That honestly might be some of there calculus in bringing Ertz back.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Let's bet him 1000 dollars he can't go the next 50 years without posting here.

Careful... this is starting to sound very much like this episode of the Twilight Zone.

So with Ertz staying and happy...who's the starting TE?

He doesn't ever put a unit on his bets.  It could be toothpicks he's using to stake himself.

Id assume Ertz officially, but they’ll split time.

The answer may be Smith, Reagor, Watkins are already 1,2,3 so you are really looking at upgrading 4 or 5 with other failed #6 WRs. Better the JAG I know than…….

If only JJAW were a JAG.  He'd have to improve to reach 'JAG' status.

Well I’m guessing he’d never put the James Connor jersey on the line in a bet.

Our Starting LT

Gardner Minshew is my favorite thing about the Eagles since the Superbowl. I hope he knocks up the entire cheer squad. Yes, including the dude.

O/U wagers on games started by each QB for the Eagles this season?

Hurts 11, Minshew 4, Flacco 2?

How much do you wanna bet he can’t knock up the dude?

I had posted this in another thread, question for you all.

Do you guys think Jalen Hurts is good enough to throw for 4,469 yards, 31 TD's vs 7 interception at about 70% completions this year ??

That is what it would take for him to match Minshew's current numbers after 20 games.

Interesting approach. 1 QB on the 53 and 2 on the PS. Doesn't seem to be smart because you will have to sacrifice one of your call ups every week on a QB

How bout noooooooooo.

If they keep him, my guess would be the 8-9.5 range.  With Ertz deciding he wants to be here long term,  Goedert won't get the volume to justify more than that.
