February 25, 20223 yr So the question as to whether or not Ukraine could prevent a complete Russian takeover of if US/NATO were willing to prevent one has always been a definitive no. The real question…which is less predictable…is if the Ukrainian people have enough anti-Russian sentiment and resolve (along with US/NATO sanctions) to make this a bloody, costly occupation that erodes Russia. The invasion was going to be an inevitable success…but as history constantly reminds us, make it a punishing occupation.
