VaBeach_Eagle Posted October 23, 2022 Share Posted October 23, 2022 I was talking to one of my brothers last night, two of my brothers grew up as Redskins fans (we grew up 5 miles from RFK stadium). Snyder's incompetence as an owner basically destroyed both of their fandom for the Redskins and they've essentially stopped watching football. In fact, probably the last time they paid attention to the NFL was 2017 and only because they were rooting for me to get my long coveted Super Bowl championship. Anyway, I mentioned the current situation and that the owners might force a team sale which might actually be good for the team and the fans. He said that it would take moving a mountain for him to even begin to care about the team anymore. A Super Bowl run MIGHT make him pay a little attention, but even then he wouldn't be 'all in'. He'd never be a fan like he was back in the day. I know that the same goes for my other Redskin fan brother. Snyder's tenure as owner has lost the franchise some rabid, diehard fans that they'll never really get back and I'm sure it's not just my two brothers.
