The snarky sarcastic golf clap by 2nd place.  The look of utter contempt and distain on the face of 3rd place.  This is what this country has become.  Everyone scared to get cancelled.  LOL.

This is a good representation of Jalen Hurts, @Swoop, @Diehardfan

Why?  If he is a bridge...he's a much better bridge than Hurts and would signal what their direction is.  Rather than being in purgatory, like they are now.

Old Matt Ryan plays like he's going through the motions. No urgency. No fire. I've found him to be one of the most frustrating QBs to watch around the league.

But the good outweighs the bad with Ryan. WR development, seeing Sirianni with a drop back passer. Would tell a lot about this team.

Well then you'd rather wait until 2023 for a project QB....That's fine.  I'm ok with that.

If Willis lasted to 15/16, I'd be good with it. Start Minshew, let him sit.

Not sure I'd support trading up for him.

Ojabo was gonna be their guy too. Hope they still get him even if it's an achilles. Get him later on instead.

I still don't get why we all have to pretend that Hurts is vastly better than Minshew. Minshew played well on an AWFUL team in Jacksonville that didn't win a game without him. He has more experience as well. So...he was a 6th round pick. So what? He should be playing.

Seeing the fire he came into that Jets game with (and the awesome bomber jacket) got me pumped up. I enjoy the guy. And if they're taking a rook, I'd much rather have him bridging and helping develop the kid then I would Hurts. If they're drafting a rookie, Hurts has to go.

Me too, really wanted Ojabo at 15/16.

No, there are just guys I would consider this year over Willis.

What a POS. F this enabling of mental illness and self-righteous narcissistic behavior. Make me f'ing puke.

Take this PC crap and shove it.

It is, no big moves coming this year as we unload cap issues and struggle with poor qb play. wasting another year of development and production from guys like Devonta.

But the bill is due, I fully expect them to move some significant draft capital into next year from this year, because they have shown their hand. There isn't a top QB prospect to be had, and the Free agency QB carosel isn't working out for them as no one wants to come to philly. Sooooo they have to try and find one in the draft.

And since we all know how *cough cough* "GOOD" Howie is at drafting, it could be years before we get a good QB and can compete for the division again. And any really good draft picks we do get lucky on, will look to get out as soon as they can.

No really good players want to play for a team without a TOP QB

Let's hope so.

So is that it then?  Is that the way to go?  Running offenses with running qbs?  And if that’s just a straw man on my part and that’s not what you are trying to say, why are you venturing out onto this hill?

No, none of the best teams in the league have QB’s who aren’t proficient passers, aside from the 49ers anomaly.

My hill I’m standing on is that Jalen Hurts is not a top 16 QB. He’s somewhere between 19-23. Whether or not he’s technically a better passer than someone like Carson Wentz does not fully imply his ability to affect a team’s chance of winning. To define his entirety by a passing stat shows his limitations in that category, but does not fairly convey his contributions to the team.

Blame him for his faults, not for his strengths.

Change of scenery...playing close to home.  I'm not beating a drum for it.  Just saying, I can see a path to a better plan then what they have now.

Yep, I'm with it. Makes drafting a QB in 2022 much more palatable. But game by game, Ryan would probably drive me nuts

If Matt Ryan gets Hurts out of here, and changes our scheme to be a passing offense with a traditional QB, I'm all for it.

How does that make any sense?

Rated the #1 steal of FA so far.

Not good

In terms of value, I would maybe put Ridder up there in the 2nd. But Malik would be my pick.

Between Falcons and Saints I'd agree. I just don't understand why those 2 teams made the final 2

Really? Thought he was kind of overrated

Falcons I can understand as he's from Georgia, was a ball boy and grew up a fan of the Falcons.  New Orleans is a weird choice.  He's been a Falcons fan and NO is their biggest rival.  So if he chooses NO then the people of Atlanta will probably hate him.

So if we could get Matt Ryan without giving up a 1st/2nd and then trade Hurts. We would have a lot of ammo in the draft to fix the defense... That could be a pretty competitive NFC team.

Yeah. Why waste ~$16mm of cap space on Ryan when Minshew gives you about the same production at this point for just over $2.5 million.

It will NEVER happen, but I'd trade Hurts for a 2nd (hopefully) and use Minshew as a bridge. Either draft a QB this year or next.

I feel for him, but seriously, it could be much worse for the Eagles and their fans, this could have happened after we spent a first rd pick on him.

Now we are likely to waste a second on him only.

If we don’t want Hurts why would anyone else want him?

Just now, 4for4EaglesNest said:

What we trade for Ryan should be a wash, at worse then what we get for Hurts.  Otherwise I'm out.

Matty is expensive though. I don't want to use the cap on him. At least Hurts doesn't cost anything.

I prefer Ridder at the end of R1 to early R2 range then I do Willis in the top 15.

I prefer Strong in the early 3 over either of those 2 options.

Ioannidis to Panthers is a 1 year deal.
