Sure is a high risk approach. If all guys work out we might still have a killer draft, but with so few picks usually you are in trouble long term.

Maybe Howie was doing fans a favor. Considering a majority of fans are complaining about every pick,  less picks = less overall complaining.

Kinda shocked Carson Strong wasnt selected yet either

Knee must be really bad in terms of scaring teams away.   My guess is he's a priority UDFA by whatever team he ends up with if not selected.   His arm is so good... just get him a knee replacement and let's go!!!

He should have just picked a CB in the 5th instead of feckin around.

Even a punter in the 5th would have been better than nothing on day 3.

Maybe teams are more worried about that knee than they let on.

He has the arm talent and college production to get drafted so🤷‍♂️

So they traded 154 for 188 and 198 to turn around and trade 188 and 237 for 181.

Between 154 and 181 I would have rather taken a chance on these guys.

RB Jerome Ford

CB Zyon McCollum

WR Kyle Philips

RB Kyren Wiliams

TE James Mitchell

I don't know exactly, thought he was in some kind of trouble

I didn't know that.   Thanks.   Maybe priority UDFA then... lower commitment.  Maybe he can get help and straighten out, but I don't know the rest of the issues.

Started the process with 10 picks, not twelve.  And will end up with 6 players and two future picks.

Round 1-15 (from Miami)
Round 1-18 (from New Orleans)
Round 1-19
Round 2-51
Round 3-83
Round 4-124
Round 5-154 (from Washington)
Round 5-162
Round 5-166 (from Arizona)
Round 7-237 (from New Orleans)

Again, if you're gonna hate, do it right.

You quoted the wrong quote of mine, but yeah, even then looking at the above picks I expected more than what Howie got.

Maybe Howie is just biding his time for next year, we'll see.

Also Howie could still make some noise with trades for picks or players, like trading Dillard to a team that may  need an OT after not  getting one in the draft.

Either way I expected more, seems the ravens did a lot more with this draft with less, though maybe I'm wrong on that🤷‍♂️

Do you think another day 3 CB would really move the needle?  We have a half-dozen of them already.

That ship is sailing further out of view now.

Looks like Howie just quit there in the 5th,

Where's your scouting bro?

Prediction: The Giants cut James Bradberry and we sign him.

Oh man. That would be great. Bradberry in this scheme really works.

Kyron Johnson is a nice late prospect pass rusher.

In a nutshell, we turned one first rounder into Davis, another into Brown, and the third into two future picks.

We used our own second and third round picks on quality players.

The only real complaint would be giving up three day-3 picks.  I'm not losing a lot of sleep given the depth of the UDFA pool.

Yes, drafting for need is not always a good idea. Complaining about a team NOT drafting for need in 5-7 rounds makes no sense to me.

Do the "we only made 6 picks" people forget they traded for AJ Brown, or y'all just conveniently leaving that out?
