Competitive Toughness: Calcaterra displays above average overall toughness and even though he lacks the strength to consistently move players off the ball, it’s not for lack of effort. The issue for Calcaterra is his durability. He has suffered multiple concussions over the last few years and was forced to medically retire. His medicals are a major red flag.

What happened to us trading Dillard or Reagor? Is that after June 1?

I think they do actually like the young CB's on the roster and are hoping one of them will claim CB2. We really need a Safety in the worse possible way and another pass rusher too.

Adding a safety and edge rusher would make this team a QB away from being relevant in the playoffs

Agreed.   That's why you go for upside here... imo.

Say his name with me... Carson.  Strong.

I have to think that the medicals came back covered in red flags.

Considering the position he plays, it’s likely his on-field play was covered in red flags.

I didn't realize the past on the kid...I had him a few times in the 6th in mock's I did.  Good player, but the background...wow

Strong has the best arm in this year's draft class.

Like Calcaterra a lot. Guy is a red zone beast.

Lets compare these two drafts --  For what it's worth, The Jets had a hell of a draft. We started with 6 picks in the 1st 4 rds, ended up with 4 players

Eagles:

1st rd  13 (traded 15 & 124, 162 & 166)    Jordan Davis

Traded (1sr rd Pick 18 & 3rd rd 101)   for AJ Brown

Rd 2   51 Cam Jurgins

Rd 3   83    Nakobe Dean

Rd 6   181  (Traded 154 for 188 & 198, then traded 188 & 237 for 181) Kyron Johnson

Rd 6 198 Grant Calcaterra

Yup.  Watching Calcaterra on the field... this is a good pick.  The background for why he wasn't on the field...  that's scary.

The Heartfelt Ultimate Negative Draft Early Review. THUNDER for short:

- Fat and lazy DT that can't get on the field

- Diva WR who will catch 40 passes because we have Ronnie Brown at Quarterback

- 4th round center

- Sidney Jones if he played Linebacker and wore hats

- Literal who?

- Danny Watkins with concussion issues.

Bet you’re fun at parties

If this team was a cake...they haven't even mixed the batter yet.  Brown is icing.  You're mixing icing with the batter.

Nobody is going to want Reagor.

Dillard I can see having a market but maybe the Eagles value him more as insurance in case Mailata goes down.

Howie’s the smartest guy in the room.  Everyone was blowing him after Thursday.  He mailed it in today.

He had a 5th and 7th to work with. What could he possibly have done? Traded his 5 for a 4?

Material losses...Nelson, McLeod, Brooks.

Material additions...Riddick, White, Brown, Davis, Dean, Jurgens

Acquired a first rounder in 2023 and second rounder in 2024.

Free agency continues.  (We signed Nelson over the summer last year.)

Big picture folks.

Maybe, but unless his leg has to be amputated, you’d think a team would have pulled the trigger if he’s as talented as some believe.

he had 6 picks in the first 4 rds, we ended up with 4 players. I wouldn't say he killed it. I like the four players, and it's on pace with his hit rate 4 out of 11 or 12 depending how you want to slice it. ABout 30%

I am assuming the DBs are going to be the priority UDFA signings

He could have drafted a late round CB that fans can begin complaining about next season when it becomes obvious he was a later draft pick for a reason.
