So, in your opinion, any other GM would be fired after this draft?

Nobody asked me, but no.

Happy with what we did on days 1 and 2.

Day 3 was a dud. No tricks. No treats. Looks like a bust.

His overview

Overview

An athletic tight end with quality ball skills and receiving acumen, Calcaterra has a concussion history that will be flagged by some teams. He retired from football in 2019 and spent 2020 preparing to become a firefighter before transferring to SMU, where he showed he still had it as a two-level pass-catcher. He plays with good football IQ versus zone coverage but might benefit from more pattern breaks to help him uncover against tight man coverage. He won't make a difference as a blocker so he needs to shine as a pass-catching threat. The medical evaluations will be the biggest determining factor in where he might be drafted.

Yeah, this was a pretty bad day 3.  Overall pleased with the draft.

You have to be kidding me. Take a shot on Strong or a DB vs some guy with concussions who may have to retire after one bad hit.

Not sure why they go TE.  You got Goedert obviously.  Tyree is developing and you got Stoll as well.

This guy retired from football because of concussions and almost became a fireman.  Where have we seen that before? 😄

I did.  I only wanted to throw one TE on the list for Master of the Draft.

Here's why I didn't put him on my list... from NFL.com

Don't forget we have Whiteside now listed at TE lol

All in all, this wasn’t a great draft. We had many needs on defense, and howie focused on a position where we just resigned a past prime DT for $14 mil. Dean had better be good, otherwise this was a disastrous draft loaded with top defensive talent.

Only one player, Schuy, had Grant Calcaterra in Master of the Draft.

One point to Schuy in that game. Everyone else shut out,

Unless the eagles trade back into the 7th round...

Better check my math though. I'm no accountant.

The Heartfelt Ultimate Negative Draft Early Review. THUNDER for short:

- Fat and lazy DT that can't get on the field

- Diva WR who will catch 40 passes because we have Ronnie Brown at Quarterback

- 4th round center

- Sidney Jones if he played Linebacker and wore hats

- Literal who?

- Danny Watkins with concussion issues.

It's a mid 6th round pick. Whoever we pick has significant limitations.

Say that to Tom Brady's face

Lol if they wanted to just throw away a pick then why not draft a QB and get the controversy going

Any other GM with this track record would have been fired.  Howie got an extension...

I suppose they looked at him as an athlete or took a flyer.  I am surprised no one has taken Carson Strong though, even this low in the draft

Agreed.   That's why you go for upside here... imo.

Say his name with me... Carson.  Strong.

I have to think that the medicals came back covered in red flags.
