But, the Eagles set up these expectations for themselves with their stupid comments.  But, 3 years of steady decline gets people fired in the NFL.  That's no secret.  Not even surprising.  

 

They also had a team that should have been able to compete for a few years before the decline hit.  Instead, the decline came hard and fast.  And the GM was to blame for the decline.  The HC and QB took the hit, but it was really about his poor management and poor drafting.

Howie has his share of the blame, as does Lurie, but there is enough blame to go around.

The guy who was supposed to be the MVP level franchise QB fell off a cliff, and the HC could not get it together once he lost his offensive coaches.

It was truly a team effort.

Qb gone.  HC gone.  No need to discuss them anymore.   The GM lives on.  Hence, why the focus remains on him.

If the discussion involves the decline that occurred after the SB, then they have to be discussed as they were a part of it.

The failures going on presently or in the future however, must start and end with Lowie.

Did the QB or HC decide to invest in aging, oft-injured and overpaid WRs... leaving the roster to rely on the likes of Robert Davis, Deontay Burnett and Greg Ward?  Did the QB and HC run the draft and add JJAW and Reagor to fix the WR position?  Did the QB and HC run up the bad contract extensions to aging players, some of whom couldn't find their way onto the field for any amount of time to contribute?

 

The others were held accountable for their failures.  Howie has not, so as it stands now... he's the one remaining with the blame, and the one that allows him to remain... Lurie.

Even his own teammates fell for it

I think the assumption is rodgers is being dealt to the broncos or is at least traded out of GB to the afc
