December 18, 20222 yr Argentina was gifted that first penalty kick for the first goal of the game. Dude wasn’t even touched and fell down.

Refs had their thumbs on the scales the whole game. Is what it is, when you play Messi you play against his team, the refs, and FIFA bribes.

December 18, 20222 yr Holy ish, what a game. Absolutely hate to see it end on PKs, can't help but feel bad for whoever ended up on the losing side. Happy for the goat though. Dude deserved it.

December 18, 20222 yr 4 hours ago, DrPhilly said: First France pk was weak as well. Yeah they were basically carbon copies of each others. Both defenders got pantsed, tried to recover clumsily, and tripped up the attacker in the box. Very few refs on this planet will keep the whistle in their pocket in either case.
December 18, 20222 yr Mbappe needs to get out of the French league if he eventually wants to be in the GOAT conversation.
December 19, 20222 yr Unheralded and lost in the chaos of that match were the crucial saves by Lloris and Martinez in the dying minutes of ET. Also huge credit to Deschamps to sub out Giroud and Griezmann that early, very ballsy moves that came so close to paying off. Scaloni was smart to start DiMaria, but thought he jumped the gun to sub him off for the far more inferior Acuna. Not sure why he waited so long to use some of his other subs when they looked so gassed for the final 20 min of regulation.
