Is Leicester really gonna get relegated? That would be kind of embarrassing after they won the whole thing not that long ago.

Chelsea has won a grand total of two games over the last 20. They suck. You should have won 5-0 given who you played, game at home, Chelsea down a man.

After beating Barca 4-0 Madrid knew they could take a day off against farmers league opponents.

They've ended up with a bloated squad of inexperienced players and older players on too high wages to move on. Their salary spend is more like a team with huge historical appeal rather than the small team that bottled lightning for a few years so they don't have the money to refresh the squad. They relied on finding cheap players in the Belgian league and other bigger fish have learnt the same trick, they didn't sign anybody this year until the very end of the window and by then the warning signs were already going up.

Brendan Rodgers is a good manager for giving a smug interview when things are going well and the suns shining, but when the wheels come off for his teams they tend to go downhill quickly and he can't turn them around,  it happened at Liverpool and it's happened at Leicester, the only reason it didn't happen at Celtic is they had no competition when he was there because Rangers were still re establishing themselves.

If they go down, there'll be a fire sale of their best players and they could drop like a stone through the Championship as well.

I hope so! Don’t know why but I never enjoyed them winning the league despite being the under dog and I don’t like them as a team. Doesnt help that Vardy their main striker is a particularly unlikeable player.

Really think Mbappe needs to go to Spain to be an all time great the soccer world. Haaland is absolutely killing it and you see him on tv all the time, no one cares about Mbappe or Messi with PSG

Yeah, if you want to be truly great you have to play in EPL then go to Spain or just go to Spain. France, Germany even Italy just doesn’t have the pull anymore.

Laporta's a clown, financially Barcelona are still on their ass, they'd have to sell younger players who just won the league (or ask them to take salary cuts again) to bring back a 36 year old who's already won everything there is to win in football and has maybe 2 seasons left in him at the very very best (and he's already asking clubs to let him off training to do promotional work for Saudi). It's no way to run a serious football club.

Inter v Man City for all the marbles. Should've been 4-0 but somehow Erling didn't place it wide enough.

A bad day for Manchester United fans and for @TEW. That was a hammering and I think that’s the day city finally win the one they’ve wanted for a few years now. The treble is still on!

Yeah, was a season to forget for Madrid. Even Madrid can’t win it all every season. Only 1 major trophy, a lot of injuries, and some players showing their age.

Exciting future though with Rodrygo taking a similar step to Vinicius last season, Camavinga coming into his own and Bellingham supposedly on his way to the capital.

Need to get a striker and maybe a wingback, but otherwise the baby galacticos policy should continue.

It's a bad day for football, the fact is City are facing over a 100 separate charges of cheating the financial rules of the Premier League that could conceivably see them relegated and if it wasn't for the CAS overturning the punishment handed down by UEFA for breaking their financial rules, City wouldn't even be in the Champions League this season.

If nation states can buy teams and then ignore financial rules or just obfuscate the disciplinary process when they're caught then it ceases to be a sports competition, the Premier League will just become a pissing contest between proxies of the Abu Dhabi and Saudi royal families.

That said, I've not much sympathy for Madrid or Barca because they've been dominating Europe by getting away with a combination of shonky accounting, chemical enhancement (allegedly) and state aid for years.

Madrid is probably the single most financially responsible club among the super clubs. Our net transfer spend isn’t even in the top 20 in the world. Through COVID we sold a ton of players and ran a net profit unlike almost every other club. The finances are publicly available. No state aid either.

Barca is the opposite and in financial shambles. Don’t lump us in with them.

PEDs… I just assume the majority of athletes in every sport on every team use them. Kind of is what it is.

Told you that win over Chelsea meant nothing.  Real really wasn't all that good this year.  That's the bottom line.

Lead the best league in the world in goals. Our problem was mainly that injuries forced players into too many minutes and to play out of position.
